2. Featuring Social Groups
There are three main social groups that I would notice that
feature in our film:
• Nationality/ Race
• Age
• Gender
3. Nationality/ Race
Nationality is important feature in our sequence as all of the
characters within the opening of the thriller are same
nationality which is Albanian.
We were not supposed to pick on Albanian people, however,
our sequence might give people of this nationality a sense
of dangerousness as all of the characters in the sequence
are in some kind of a dangerous position, for example Agent
Qaushi as she goes after criminals.
4. Age
Within the two minutes of our
sequence, here are only two age
groups shown.
The Agents - 20 to 25 years old
The criminal - 30 to 35 years old
The younger generation is represented
as the people who are on the good
side while at the same moment, the
older generation are the people who
does crimes. This is a stereotypical
representation of age within the film as
the hero is usually young and strong
while the villain is usually older.
5. Gender
The characters' gender within the
sequence is challenging
stereotypical films as the protagonist
in our film is female. The gender of
the protagonist is challenging
stereotypical films because its
usually a big, muscular male who
gets that role.
