2. How does your thriller hold the audiences
attention?
Our thriller holds the audiences attention as we see the mother taking her
son to school and nothing too ambitious is happening. The audience
anticipate what will happen next. We then see her walking for an extremely
long time and then all of a sudden out of nowhere a man is following her
and he drags her into an alleyway. She screams loudly which suggests that
something bad may happen to her and this leads the audience to keep
watching.
3. Why would people watch your film? Why
would it appeal to them? Why would they
want to carry on watching after your thriller
opening has ended?
I think people would want to watch our film as it is relatable. Lots of
children today have parents who are divorced and who argue a lot
therefore our film would be representative of a lot of young peoples
lives and their parents relationships. I believe that people would
want to continue to watch our thriller as they would want to find out
what happens to the mother next as we have left it on a cliff hanger
where the mother has been grabbed into the alleyway and we do
not know what her fate will be.
4. Audience feedback
When first viewing our opening thriller to an audience they said that they
enjoyed the diejetic and non-diegetic sounds as well as the use of a variety of
different camera angles.
Majority of people said that they enjoyed the plot line and wanted to know
what happened next especially after the fathers aggressive attack.
