Internship Self-Evaluation Paper
Before the end of the regular 12–week summer session, you must complete and submit a
self–evaluation online from a link in the internship area of the School of Business website. Because
some items are similar to those on a student evaluation of teaching form, your faculty internship
advisor will not see the evaluation until after your grade has been recorded. On the internship
evaluation, explain how the experiences enhanced your understanding of the sponsoring organization
and relevant academic field. Also, suggest changes to assure a more effective internship for future
student interns. If you do not believe changes are needed, please state that. On the internship self–
evaluation, you will be prompted to provide and verify the email address

Reflection Paper On Internship
This summer I am interning at Carmen and Muss P.L.L.C. a small law firm here in Washington
D.C. It is a real estate law firm run by member Mindy Carmen. She started her own law firm in the
private sector working with government contracts after years of working in the public sector in
various parts of the federal government. Over the past few weeks working in the office I have
gotten the opportunity to grow closer and learn a lot from Mindy. Who is also my internship
supervisor. In my internship I work with her and her assistant, Marissa, a current law student at
George Washington. For this assignment I interviewed my supervisor Mindy. However, because
during this time of year she has to travel a lot. Therefore, we ended up doing the interview on Friday,
June 30th over the phone. For the past couple of weeks, she has been working out of the office,
consequently, on her way out of town that Friday I interviewed her over the phone while she was
traveling. This interaction, while not a traditional face to face interview, allowed me to ask Mindy
questions about her background and what led her to her current career. I conducted the interview
like a conversation. Despite this interview not being conducted in person, I learned a lot about her in
addition to the other opportunities I've had throughout the internship to connect with her. A few
times a week she will meet with me to go over different tasks I have completed and how they are
important to the office and to my career in

Please comment on how you took steps to achieve the goals you set at the beginning of your
internship.
Organization was the most important tool that allowed me to reach my goals throughout this
internship. Meeting with my supervisor on a weekly basis and having my all ideas, thoughts and
assignments organized made the process much simpler. Being prepared allowed me to better
communicate my thoughts and opinions when my input was needed or when I had questions. This
communication was important because It made learning from my superiors simple. I was also able
to clearly understand my role and responsibilities in all our projects, giving me the benefit of
having a clear Idea of what I needed to do to be successful in them. This preparation allowed me to
reach the goals I set for myself at the begging of this internship.
Start by summarizing the specific skills/knowledge/strengths (minimum of 3) you set out to develop
through your internship experience:
1. I wanted to learn how to organize and micro manage the day to day operations of a small business.
2. I wanted to strengthen my networking skills and add new contacts to them.
3. I wanted to help create and implement different marketing strategies for the company.
What specific responsibilities/projects did you work on to achieve the skills/knowledge/strengths
you wanted to develop?
I worked with the study edge marketing team, where we worked on projects that aimed to find
and retain new Study Edge members. I helped organize and participated in tabling events around
campus, where we invited students to play games, win prizes and learn more about Study Edge.
Planning these events taught me a lot about what it takes to run a successful marketing project.
Things such as how to develop and reach a specific target audience, how to approaches and present
our information to said audience, and how crucial planning out all the details of events are so that
we're prepared for any situation, should something unexpected happen. I was also part of the team
that helped organize our Study Edge members summer party. All our members were invited to come
out and enjoy free drinks and food, while meeting all the Study Edge employees and study experts.

My Objectives Of My Internship
Before I started my internship, I set out a few learning objectives that has boosted my confidence,
knowledge and capability to take on challenges hands on. One of these objectives was to build a
network of connections in the workplace in order to have a chance of getting employed after
graduation. This specific goal turned out to be the easiest objective considering that I was
building networks subconsciously through causal as well as formal interactions. I ended up
meeting plenty of people in my company and the companies that were doing business with our
firm. However, the real challenge is keeping in touch with these people and making sure that I
don't become a distant memory. Moreover, I wanted to learn how to asses individual
underwriting risks through hands on work or work experience in order to perfect my skills in this
specific theoretical concept. Unfortunately, the work schedule I was assigned was very far from
this task, and I realized that the job contained sensitive information of clients and future clients,
therefore only experienced professionals are assigned that type of job. On the other hand, I was
successful in learning the technical skill and application I prescribed for myself. My objective was
to learn how to use excel in a professional and...show more content...
With that being said, I realized that the person that has perfected the skills of communication stands
out from everybody else because of their ability to articulate themselves. This skill set would
instantly boost an employee's career considering that they automatically become an asset to the
company. Our company does business in Asia, and a few African nations. With that being said,
obtaining these interpersonal skills set is crucial to the company's success because without these
relationships, the business would be an average company in the kingdom that will never reach the
goals it sets for

Final Report on Internship Program American University of Beirut A Comparison of Two
Approaches of Handling Contacts in Rigid Multibody Dynamics Abstract This paper is based on my
work completed during an eight–week internship at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. My work
was to contribute to a research program aimed at using new software that handles contacts in rigid
multibody dynamics much faster than the traditional dynamic simulation software used. This new
approach seems to be promising and the long run goals of this research program is to be able to

Each ball is in contact with each other and a coulomb friction exists among them This model will
be simulated both in ADAMS and Chrono::Engine. The purpose behind this comparison is to find
out how fast Chrono::Engine handles contacts. Accuracy of results is a criterion that will not be
regarded in this paper. The model is simulated for 3 seconds. All the balls end up falling into the
container box, entering a series of collision courses. Model investigation Here we will proceed with
an investigation of the parts that this model comprises, namely the balls and the rigid container box.

Internship Statement For Internship
This summer I was very fortunate to be given the opportunity to participate in a research and
development internship at the world's largest snack company, MondelД“z International, which is
known for its iconic brands such as Oreo, Sour Patch Kids, Triscuit, Trident, Swedish Fish,
Cadbury, and many more. The headquarters for this international giant is located in Chicago,
Illinois; however, I was employed in the research and development center positioned in East
Hanover, New Jersey. Completing my second year at Penn State last May fully aware that I would
be moving to New Jersey from my small hometown around Erie, PA, I was under the perception that
I had an idea of what the summer would hold for me. However, this was an overstatement, for what I
experienced in the time between May and August truly altered my viewpoint on education, business,
and food science. Accepting the offer to participate in an internship with MondelД“z International
last fall, I understood that the experience would be very enriching, for this was what my professors
and older students conveyed. I set goals such as attempting to act as a sponge, extracting every single
experience/knowledge that I could from professionals in the industry, networking with other food
science students participating in the internship as well as the mentors that would be leading me
through the project, exposing myself to a different lifestyle as a salary employee and resident of
uniquely cultured New Jersey, and many others.

School Internship Reflection
I completed forty hours for my internship. Throughout the course of my internship I shadowed a
school counselor at a private school and a school psychologist at a public school. I observed their
job task such as testing, teaching, and conducting meetings. I was able to see the techniques used to
communicate with children, adolescence and their parents. The school counselor did most of her
work with the elementary and the middle school. I observe her as she teaches a class on core values
of the school and teaching the children how to cope with their emotions. The school psychologist
mostly works with the middle and the high school. I observe as she tested the students IQ. I also had a
chance to observe her talk to students who had conflicted with other students and students who were
contemplating suicide.
My experience with these two internships relate to my future goals, because I would like to work in
a school setting either as a high school counselor or school psychologist. I was having difficulties
deciding between the two careers. Even though they both work with helping students, they are both
different. The school counselor helps students solve their problems and help more with the student's
academics such as class scheduling, help students apply to colleges, and helping students find jobs.
The school psychologist works more with testing the students, and dealing with more severe
counseling. The two internships helped me come to more of a solid decision in what career

Essay On My Internship As A Medical Assistant
During the summer of 2015, I interned at a local doctor's office. My passion for working in the
medical field grew tremendously. I absolutely loved the experience I received and I also got
offered a job after the internship was completed. Even though I was unable to accept the job offer
because of furthering my education and because of my current job, I knew my hard work and
dedication had paid off. I believe my education and the experience I received has provided me
with a phenomenal introduction to the heath care field. I interned as a Medical Assistant and
received my Associate's in Applied Science Degree in Medical Assisting in December of 2015. I
knew that receiving this degree was only the beginning. I thought long and hard about what I wanted
to do with my life. I knew I wanted to have a better...show more content...

It has been a while since I started at the internship and I am really glad I decided to work here. I
think the experience in this area is a good preview of my career and future. I am learning some
important skills and finding out some things about myself and the tough skin I will need in order
to stay in the area of juvenile support. One of my responsibilities involved checking the messages
from the days before on the office phone. I found that some of the potential mentors sounded older.
This got me wondering about the age limits of the mentors. I knew they had to be at least 18, but
was there an age cap? Could a 30–year–old join the team and be the mentor to a 12–year–old? I
though about the different ways that these relationships...show more content...
They gave me the basic idea of what was going on with them and how the family could use the
support. At this point when I asked what prison the parents were in, they said county. It was then
my job to break them the bad news and let them know that their child did not qualify for the
program. In my search for organizations that are involved with the system and the families
surrounding it, my supervisor referred me to the School District of Philadelphia alternative
schools. These are schools children are transferred to based on behavioral problems. Coming
from the school district, I have already heard of these schools and knew some of the possible
places to contact. Although I have previous knowledge, I decided to start at the school district
office to get a list of all the alternative schools. This is where I hit one of the first barriers on my
path of recruitment. The school district gave me the biggest run around, sending me from one
office to another, then transferring me to completely different buildings and programs. No one
seemed to have the answer. I wondered why the home office of all the schools did not have a list
available of the possible alternative schools. I then decided to try my search on the internet. I
figure, there had to be some sort of list out on the web, but even that was a failed attempt. All I
could find was a list of all the schools that were not regular admissions and I could not decipher the
alternative versus the remedial

My Reflection: I have been very lucky to complete an internship with Wayne County Bank this
summer. It was a rewarding experience and I have gained valuable knowledge that will be
beneficial to me as I continue to pursue my career in Finance. Growing up in a small town with a
bank that truly serves our community is inspiring. As a high school student, I volunteered to help
WCB in any way needed at the Relay for Life or any other activity they hosted. The work day in the
Bookkeeping department begins at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. except on Fridays when we close an
hour later for customer convenience. First thing in the morning we sort the internal reports that print
before we arrive and give them to the employee that will use the...show more content...
These returns are put with a copy of the original item and sent to the mailing address we have on
the customer file. They will then be processed with all the other mail to go to the Post Office at the
end of the day. Some of our business customers have requested that they receive a fax of the return as
soon as it is processed so that they may take the appropriate actions on their end. The biggest part of
my job was answering all the customer phone calls. At any point in the day, a customer might call to
ask about their account. I answer the phone and assist the customer with anything they need.
Customers usually want to know their current balance or if a check has entered their account yet, but
sometimes they want to know about the last few transactions so I go over those and give them the
information they are requesting. Many of the same customers call frequently so I began recognizing
their voices and they started referring to me as "the man in bookkeeping" since the other
Bookkeeping employees are women. Personally, I think that knowing the customers and their needs
helps to maintain the "home–town banking" that WCB is well known for around our community and
the surrounding areas. I enjoy speaking with and assisting our customers, many of them I see and
know personally around the town. It is nice to establish these connections

mind that I am expected to behave myself in a professional manner at all times. I also learned some
of the important skills of a teacher such as: how to provide direct instructions, clarify content, teach
skills and answer the students questions; help students identify their skills, abilities, and long term

After I completed my internship I realized I didn't want to become a child psychologist anymore. I

This young lady was a product of a broken home, mother left approximately 12 years ago, leaving
two children behind to be raised by their father. The children were never able to establish any real

this scenario would ultimately cause this young girl to develop several very disturbing behaviors to
include deceitfulness, manipulation, overt sexual behaviors, and an extreme desire to be
accepted by the opposite sex. Add to this situation is the fact that her father is now incarcerated
for molesting the eldest daughter who is now 20. The 15 year old in question was made aware of
the relationship approximately 2 years ago and has been used as a pawn and somewhat of a
confidant by both the victim and the father. The 15 year old girl now resides in her uncle's (the
intern) home with his wife and 3 other children. The path to where she is now has been very
difficult for her; following her father's arrest she was sent to her mother's home along with her
brother, while there, the negative behaviors created a very divisive atmosphere. The girl involved
was never able to adapt to the new home with her mother and boyfriend, partly because of the
mother's physical and emotional absence most of her life and the lack of positive parenting by

Her ability to listen, not pass judgments, and respect my feelings contributed to her effectiveness as

INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
Internship is an opportunity offered by various companies to potential students or candidates,
called as "interns", to work in the firm for a limited or fixed time period. Internship offers
students lot of exposure to the practical world and provides practical experiences in the industry
relating to their field of study. This becomes a valuable experience as it allows us to understand
how our studies are applied in the "real world", and it gives a good picture for our Curriculum Vitae`.
Internships can also be called as job training for professional careers. Internships generally, consists
exchange of ideas and services for experience between students and organizations. Some interns find
permanent, paid programme with the organizations for which they worked. This gives a benefit to
the employer as they do not have to search for a new employee, as the interns are trained previously
and they are less demanding. Internship experiences provide the opportunity to apply classroom
theories into the real world, thus it enhances the student's academic and their career goals.
Internships in India are career specific, college and school students often choose internships based on
the branch of study at their University. Internships for MBA graduates are the most common thing in

new hire paperwork and turned in to HR. In addition, I learned about ProSystem Engagement which
company has been using for audit and tax preparation software. At the end of the day, all intern

Jan 6: I took more comprehensive training for ProSystem Tax and ProSystem Engagement. The
firm also called ePace instead of ProSystem that is an electronic file room for all audit and tax

Internship Reflection
Wow...Midterms already! I cannot believe how time is flying by. Just like that we are now half
way done with this semester and I been at internship for two months already. I am happy for the
opportunity I am having at internship, but at the same time I wish I could pause time or slow
down time. I feel that every day it is going so fast that I can barely breath, blink, and rest, as I feel
I am always rushing. I am even seeing my granddaughter grow too fast, which makes me wish I
could have more time with her. Coming into this semester I thought that I would be easy as we
are done with our thesis, nonetheless, I feel it is the opposite. I feel that we have a lot of work
going one. Therefore, I feel more tired and at times overwhelmed with the limited time I have
available in my days. A good example, is today I am writing this paper, it is midnight, and I just ate
my dinner. I know this is not good self–care but to keep up with internship, school, and work
paperwork, there are nights I sacrifice by working on assignments late. I even feel the difference
now that we are required to do twenty hours of internship but I know this is a scarifies to my end
goal, which, is completing the master's program. There are nights where I am even sleeping less
than five hours. Hereafter, I will just have to continue to push myself to continue to complete this
semester and do my best at school and internships. I have to also incorporate self–care as I have

After this internship made me realised how diverse engineering fields and there is so much new
knowledge to learn, considering myself with electrical power engineering background working in

documentations, there is some new term and I need to find extra information on the Internet myself
to understand more about the ongoing project. Having said that, knowledge that I have obtained

For this experience I obtained through my final year project, in which I need to design and

  • 2. Reflection Paper On Internship This summer I am interning at Carmen and Muss P.L.L.C. a small law firm here in Washington D.C. It is a real estate law firm run by member Mindy Carmen. She started her own law firm in the private sector working with government contracts after years of working in the public sector in various parts of the federal government. Over the past few weeks working in the office I have gotten the opportunity to grow closer and learn a lot from Mindy. Who is also my internship supervisor. In my internship I work with her and her assistant, Marissa, a current law student at George Washington. For this assignment I interviewed my supervisor Mindy. However, because during this time of year she has to travel a lot. Therefore, we ended up doing the interview on Friday, June 30th over the phone. For the past couple of weeks, she has been working out of the office, consequently, on her way out of town that Friday I interviewed her over the phone while she was traveling. This interaction, while not a traditional face to face interview, allowed me to ask Mindy questions about her background and what led her to her current career. I conducted the interview like a conversation. Despite this interview not being conducted in person, I learned a lot about her in addition to the other opportunities I've had throughout the internship to connect with her. A few times a week she will meet with me to go over different tasks I have completed and how they are important to the office and to my career in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Internship Reflection Please comment on how you took steps to achieve the goals you set at the beginning of your internship. Organization was the most important tool that allowed me to reach my goals throughout this internship. Meeting with my supervisor on a weekly basis and having my all ideas, thoughts and assignments organized made the process much simpler. Being prepared allowed me to better communicate my thoughts and opinions when my input was needed or when I had questions. This communication was important because It made learning from my superiors simple. I was also able to clearly understand my role and responsibilities in all our projects, giving me the benefit of having a clear Idea of what I needed to do to be successful in them. This preparation allowed me to reach the goals I set for myself at the begging of this internship. Start by summarizing the specific skills/knowledge/strengths (minimum of 3) you set out to develop through your internship experience: 1. I wanted to learn how to organize and micro manage the day to day operations of a small business. 2. I wanted to strengthen my networking skills and add new contacts to them. 3. I wanted to help create and implement different marketing strategies for the company. What specific responsibilities/projects did you work on to achieve the skills/knowledge/strengths you wanted to develop? I worked with the study edge marketing team, where we worked on projects that aimed to find and retain new Study Edge members. I helped organize and participated in tabling events around campus, where we invited students to play games, win prizes and learn more about Study Edge. Planning these events taught me a lot about what it takes to run a successful marketing project. Things such as how to develop and reach a specific target audience, how to approaches and present our information to said audience, and how crucial planning out all the details of events are so that we're prepared for any situation, should something unexpected happen. I was also part of the team that helped organize our Study Edge members summer party. All our members were invited to come out and enjoy free drinks and food, while meeting all the Study Edge employees and study experts. This Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Objectives Of My Internship Before I started my internship, I set out a few learning objectives that has boosted my confidence, knowledge and capability to take on challenges hands on. One of these objectives was to build a network of connections in the workplace in order to have a chance of getting employed after graduation. This specific goal turned out to be the easiest objective considering that I was building networks subconsciously through causal as well as formal interactions. I ended up meeting plenty of people in my company and the companies that were doing business with our firm. However, the real challenge is keeping in touch with these people and making sure that I don't become a distant memory. Moreover, I wanted to learn how to asses individual underwriting risks through hands on work or work experience in order to perfect my skills in this specific theoretical concept. Unfortunately, the work schedule I was assigned was very far from this task, and I realized that the job contained sensitive information of clients and future clients, therefore only experienced professionals are assigned that type of job. On the other hand, I was successful in learning the technical skill and application I prescribed for myself. My objective was to learn how to use excel in a professional and...show more content... With that being said, I realized that the person that has perfected the skills of communication stands out from everybody else because of their ability to articulate themselves. This skill set would instantly boost an employee's career considering that they automatically become an asset to the company. Our company does business in Asia, and a few African nations. With that being said, obtaining these interpersonal skills set is crucial to the company's success because without these relationships, the business would be an average company in the kingdom that will never reach the goals it sets for Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Internship Final Paper Final Report on Internship Program American University of Beirut A Comparison of Two Approaches of Handling Contacts in Rigid Multibody Dynamics Abstract This paper is based on my work completed during an eight–week internship at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. My work was to contribute to a research program aimed at using new software that handles contacts in rigid multibody dynamics much faster than the traditional dynamic simulation software used. This new approach seems to be promising and the long run goals of this research program is to be able to simulate very complex models...show more content... • 6. Internship Statement For Internship This summer I was very fortunate to be given the opportunity to participate in a research and development internship at the world's largest snack company, MondelД“z International, which is known for its iconic brands such as Oreo, Sour Patch Kids, Triscuit, Trident, Swedish Fish, Cadbury, and many more. The headquarters for this international giant is located in Chicago, Illinois; however, I was employed in the research and development center positioned in East Hanover, New Jersey. Completing my second year at Penn State last May fully aware that I would be moving to New Jersey from my small hometown around Erie, PA, I was under the perception that I had an idea of what the summer would hold for me. However, this was an overstatement, for what I experienced in the time between May and August truly altered my viewpoint on education, business, and food science. Accepting the offer to participate in an internship with MondelД“z International last fall, I understood that the experience would be very enriching, for this was what my professors and older students conveyed. I set goals such as attempting to act as a sponge, extracting every single experience/knowledge that I could from professionals in the industry, networking with other food science students participating in the internship as well as the mentors that would be leading me through the project, exposing myself to a different lifestyle as a salary employee and resident of uniquely cultured New Jersey, and many others. • 7. School Internship Reflection I completed forty hours for my internship. Throughout the course of my internship I shadowed a school counselor at a private school and a school psychologist at a public school. I observed their job task such as testing, teaching, and conducting meetings. I was able to see the techniques used to communicate with children, adolescence and their parents. The school counselor did most of her work with the elementary and the middle school. I observe her as she teaches a class on core values of the school and teaching the children how to cope with their emotions. The school psychologist mostly works with the middle and the high school. I observe as she tested the students IQ. I also had a chance to observe her talk to students who had conflicted with other students and students who were contemplating suicide. My experience with these two internships relate to my future goals, because I would like to work in a school setting either as a high school counselor or school psychologist. I was having difficulties deciding between the two careers. Even though they both work with helping students, they are both different. The school counselor helps students solve their problems and help more with the student's academics such as class scheduling, help students apply to colleges, and helping students find jobs. The school psychologist works more with testing the students, and dealing with more severe counseling. The two internships helped me come to more of a solid decision in what career Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I absolutely loved the experience I received and I also got offered a job after the internship was completed. Even though I was unable to accept the job offer because of furthering my education and because of my current job, I knew my hard work and dedication had paid off. I believe my education and the experience I received has provided me with a phenomenal introduction to the heath care field. I interned as a Medical Assistant and received my Associate's in Applied Science Degree in Medical Assisting in December of 2015. I knew that receiving this degree was only the beginning. • 10. Internship Reflection Essay example It has been a while since I started at the internship and I am really glad I decided to work here. I think the experience in this area is a good preview of my career and future. I am learning some important skills and finding out some things about myself and the tough skin I will need in order to stay in the area of juvenile support. One of my responsibilities involved checking the messages from the days before on the office phone. I found that some of the potential mentors sounded older. This got me wondering about the age limits of the mentors. I knew they had to be at least 18, but was there an age cap? Could a 30–year–old join the team and be the mentor to a 12–year–old? I though about the different ways that these relationships...show more content... They gave me the basic idea of what was going on with them and how the family could use the support. At this point when I asked what prison the parents were in, they said county. It was then my job to break them the bad news and let them know that their child did not qualify for the program. In my search for organizations that are involved with the system and the families surrounding it, my supervisor referred me to the School District of Philadelphia alternative schools. These are schools children are transferred to based on behavioral problems. Coming from the school district, I have already heard of these schools and knew some of the possible places to contact. Although I have previous knowledge, I decided to start at the school district office to get a list of all the alternative schools. This is where I hit one of the first barriers on my path of recruitment. The school district gave me the biggest run around, sending me from one office to another, then transferring me to completely different buildings and programs. No one seemed to have the answer. I wondered why the home office of all the schools did not have a list available of the possible alternative schools. I then decided to try my search on the internet. I figure, there had to be some sort of list out on the web, but even that was a failed attempt. All I could find was a list of all the schools that were not regular admissions and I could not decipher the alternative versus the remedial Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Internship Reflection Essay My Reflection: I have been very lucky to complete an internship with Wayne County Bank this summer. It was a rewarding experience and I have gained valuable knowledge that will be beneficial to me as I continue to pursue my career in Finance. Growing up in a small town with a bank that truly serves our community is inspiring. As a high school student, I volunteered to help WCB in any way needed at the Relay for Life or any other activity they hosted. The work day in the Bookkeeping department begins at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. except on Fridays when we close an hour later for customer convenience. First thing in the morning we sort the internal reports that print before we arrive and give them to the employee that will use the...show more content... These returns are put with a copy of the original item and sent to the mailing address we have on the customer file. They will then be processed with all the other mail to go to the Post Office at the end of the day. Some of our business customers have requested that they receive a fax of the return as soon as it is processed so that they may take the appropriate actions on their end. The biggest part of my job was answering all the customer phone calls. At any point in the day, a customer might call to ask about their account. I answer the phone and assist the customer with anything they need. Customers usually want to know their current balance or if a check has entered their account yet, but sometimes they want to know about the last few transactions so I go over those and give them the information they are requesting. Many of the same customers call frequently so I began recognizing their voices and they started referring to me as "the man in bookkeeping" since the other Bookkeeping employees are women. Personally, I think that knowing the customers and their needs helps to maintain the "home–town banking" that WCB is well known for around our community and the surrounding areas. I enjoy speaking with and assisting our customers, many of them I see and know personally around the town. It is nice to establish these connections Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I used my interpersonal skills such as: coping strategies; peer relationships and effective social skills; communication, problem–solving techniques, decision–making, conflict resolution, how to work in a team, where everyone depends on each other and a lot of patience. I developed many new skills such as multitasking, problem solving/decision making, and leadership qualities. I learned that I am a role model. It is important to develop a good relationship with students; however, I must keep in mind that I am expected to behave myself in a professional manner at all times. I also learned some of the important skills of a teacher such as: how to provide direct instructions, clarify content, teach skills and answer the students questions; help students identify their skills, abilities, and long term plans regarding education and personal problems. After I completed my internship I realized I didn't want to become a child psychologist anymore. Self Liberty University Psyc–499 Abstract The following paper will be a reaction to the experiences within the Psychology Internship. Several topics will be covered to include behaviors that were observed as well as reasoning for said behaviors. This paper will also encompass what the overall benefit was to the intern and what, if any, changes could be made to the experience to allow a more well rounded experience. The intern involved in the Internship requirement will outline a number of topics that were covered that were highly instrumental to the overall experience and how such an experience has changed him and his overall view of the next step in his process. The children were never able to establish any real relationship with their mother as she lived in Northern Virginia and the children lived several hours south. The dynamics that were created by this scenario would ultimately cause this young girl to develop several very disturbing behaviors to include deceitfulness, manipulation, overt sexual behaviors, and an extreme desire to be accepted by the opposite sex. Add to this situation is the fact that her father is now incarcerated for molesting the eldest daughter who is now 20. The 15 year old in question was made aware of the relationship approximately 2 years ago and has been used as a pawn and somewhat of a confidant by both the victim and the father. The 15 year old girl now resides in her uncle's (the intern) home with his wife and 3 other children. The path to where she is now has been very difficult for her; following her father's arrest she was sent to her mother's home along with her brother, while there, the negative behaviors created a very divisive atmosphere. The girl involved was never able to adapt to the new home with her mother and boyfriend, partly because of the mother's physical and emotional absence most of her life and the lack of positive parenting by Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Upon beginning my counseling sessions at the student counseling center, I was unsure of what I would experience as a client, unsure of how I would react or what I would disclose during the sessions, and I was nervous about participating in counseling sessions. Before my first session, I found myself reflecting on why I felt so uneasy and nervous about participating in an individual session. Specifically, I remember thinking about how this activity would give me the opportunity to be a client, and the experience of participating in a counseling session. I also remember reiterating to myself that I am pursuing a career in the field of counseling, so this experience would be one I embrace, instead of view negatively. If she needed clarification on the information I provided to her, she did not hesitate to ask questions or summarize my statements, to ensure she heard the correct message. Her ability to listen, not pass judgments, and respect my feelings contributed to her effectiveness as a counselor, and increased my willingness to be open with her. There were times during our sessions, when I felt some of her suggestions did not match up with my personality or personal experiences; however, her respect for my personal experiences and worldview emphasized her understanding abilities, and interest in my worldview. Also, Sarah's ability to provide me with alternatives and the opportunity to change my way of thinking, contributed to her effectiveness, while helping me resolve concerns more efficiently. Prior to learning about the three core conditions for establishing a positive therapeutic relationship, I was unable to draw direct conclusions about the attitudes Sarah displayed during our sessions. • 19. Internship Reflection Wow...Midterms already! I cannot believe how time is flying by. Just like that we are now half way done with this semester and I been at internship for two months already. I am happy for the opportunity I am having at internship, but at the same time I wish I could pause time or slow down time. I feel that every day it is going so fast that I can barely breath, blink, and rest, as I feel I am always rushing. I am even seeing my granddaughter grow too fast, which makes me wish I could have more time with her. Coming into this semester I thought that I would be easy as we are done with our thesis, nonetheless, I feel it is the opposite. I feel that we have a lot of work going one. Therefore, I feel more tired and at times overwhelmed with the limited time I have available in my days. A good example, is today I am writing this paper, it is midnight, and I just ate my dinner. I know this is not good self–care but to keep up with internship, school, and work paperwork, there are nights I sacrifice by working on assignments late. I even feel the difference now that we are required to do twenty hours of internship but I know this is a scarifies to my end goal, which, is completing the master's program. There are nights where I am even sleeping less than five hours. Hereafter, I will just have to continue to push myself to continue to complete this semester and do my best at school and internships. I have to also incorporate self–care as I have noticed a difference when I apply Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Internship Reflection After this internship made me realised how diverse engineering fields and there is so much new knowledge to learn, considering myself with electrical power engineering background working in construction site which may related on civil engineering field. When I studied the project plan documentations, there is some new term and I need to find extra information on the Internet myself to understand more about the ongoing project. Having said that, knowledge that I have obtained throughout my study in ECU proved to be useful such as basic CAD, mechanic and material courses during my first and second year which make me easier to understand the structure drafting of the floor plans. For this experience I obtained through my final year project, in which I need to design and manufacture a simple device. I may need to use some tools I had never use before such as the electric drill. That project is basically about wave energy converter. This experience broaden my knowledge about engineering as general and allows me to learn things that I cannot obtained in class such as real engineering design experience where I need to planed, drew and even manufactured my own design with the help of workshop during my final year project, while in this internship I experience firsthand how to manage and checking an ongoing project in such a huge scale and also how a team should work in big group compared to a small group of 4–5 people in class. When doing a huge project during my internship, I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
