It has been reported that the future of electronic information is not embraced by a lot of the news
media as free interactive services generate low levels of interest with pay–per–call services as the
main source of revenue. However, Rupert Murdoch saw the opportunities offered by new technology,

poorer school performance and its impact on their psychosocial adjustments was detrimental.
Another study from India showed that vivid display of violence through media (9/11 terrorist
attack) caused stress in adolescents(6). Yama, et al.(7) described that some of the fears, tensions,
bad dreams and tendencies towards delinquencies of children are a result of frequent and a regular
exposure to murder–mystery movies, and stories filled with violence and torture that children view
on TV and movies. Association between TV viewing and suicidal behavior has also been reported
from India(8). Both content exposure and screen time of media had independent detrimental
associations with school performance in children and adolescents (9). Hopf, et al.(10) showed that
the more frequently children view horror and violent films during childhood, and the more
frequently they play violent electronic games at the beginning of adolescence, the higher will these
students' violence and delinquency be at the age of 14. Primack, et al.(11) showed that excessive
TV viewing in adolescence is a risk factor for development of depression in young adulthood. TV
viewing may play an exacerbating, if not causal, role in the development of attention–deficit

Premise Statement
The premise of my thesis is that electronic media has become the leading source society utilizes to
obtain information on world events. My research shows how electronic media has grown over the
years from being a medium for news and entertainment purposes into the complex powerhouse it is

In the previous sections of this paper I have sought to provide the context necessary to understand the
significant and sustainable transformation undergone by Croatian media in the years following the
Yugoslav Wars of Dissolution. It has been through this analysis that I have endeavored to illuminate
some of the many issues facing the Croatian media systems as a whole, and to establish the historical
background necessary to understand the current state of media throughout the country. In this
section I will argue that the Law on Electronic Media has not only failed to be implemented
properly, but that cultural, political, and economic factors have resulted in a climate that has
substantiality impaired the ability and willingness of the nation to fully comply with EU standards
governing media. I will establish this claim through exploring past and current problems with the
Law on Electronic Media relying on scholarly sources and original analysis of a few of the many
barriers currently facing the law and its full implementation. While many scholars have sought to
understand issues of compliance with EU law across the European Union and among new member

We see notable risks in a pure laissez–faire "let them work it out for themselves" approach. Large
amounts of money, resources, and effort are being committed (by government agencies, by academic
departments, by publishers, by professional societies, and by individual researchers) to the
development, maintenance, and promotion of various forms of communications technologies for
use in global science. However, in the absence of a valid theory of how scholarly fields adopt and
shape technology, scientists and policy–makers are left only with context–free models, and hence
resources may be committed to projects that are not self–sustainable, that wither, and that do not
effectively improve the scientific communications system of the field. The consequences may not
only be sub–optimal use of financial resources, but also wasted effort on the part of individual
researchers, and even data languishing in marginal, decaying, and dead systems and formats. The
purpose of this JASIS perspectives article is to deepen our understanding of the future of electronic

electronic media to focus on life's simple pleasures. By keeping track of my use of electronic media,
I have gained a clear understanding of how such usage affects my life. On Saturday, August 26,
2017, I used my iPad for over five hours. I spent over three hours playing video games on my
family's Xbox One console, almost 2 ВЅ hours using my MacBook Pro laptop, and over two hours
watching television. I only used my iPhone for 15 minutes. Two days later, I used my phone for
over five hours, while I surfed the Internet on my computer for nearly half the time. I spent more
than a half hour on my tablet and about the same amount of time on a Windows computer at school.
And the next day, I spent over 4 ВЅ hours on my phone and more than 3 ВЅ hours using my tablet. I
used a Mac computer at school for more than an hour and my laptop for more than half the time. I
think my use of electronic media definitely reflects my personality and interests. I like to stay
informed of current events, so I constantly check my phone for notifications I need to clear, as
well as my Gmail and Facebook accounts. I enjoy watching true crime television series, including
American Greed, Snapped, Deadly Sins, and Deadly Women. I rely on the Xfinity Stream,
Oxygen Now, and ID (Investigation Discovery) GO to view this genre of shows. I like to unwind
with a game every once in awhile, and I often play Bee Brilliant, Family Feud 2, Family Feud
Live, Wheel of Fortune, and Wheel of Fortune Free Play on both my phone and my tablet. Very
rarely do I play video games on a console, but I enjoy driving games, including Grand Theft Auto
V. I play this game on my family's Xbox One, while my father and brother usually monopolize it. I
also watch my two favorite game shows, Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud, on a high–definition
television, my phone, or my tablet. I am an aspiring musician, so I spend time drafting lyrics on the

9%. This means that the media has positively influenced the voting statistics.
One of the negative effects of the medias influence on the people is creating a difficulty to remain
nuetral while reporting political news. When an issue is addressed improperly through the media, it
creates confusion and an inability to take a certain side on an issue. For instance, if a news reporter
were to make negative references on a certain issue, the people watching will be more influenced to
take a negative approach to the issue.
This can cause much confusion since a different reporter could take a positive approach and turn the
