1.Arrehenotoky –
A common form of sex determination observed in hymenoptera in which Progeny
are Produced by mated or unmated females,but fertilized eggs produce diploid
female offspring where unfertilized eggs produces diploid female offspring where
unfertilized eggs produce haploid male offspring.
Fertilized eggs- Diploid female
Unfertilized eggs- Haploid male
E.g.- Trichogramma spp. , Telinomous spp.
3. 2. Thelytoky (Uniparental)-
A from of sex determinatin in which only diploid female progenies are
produced without males as seen especially in Hymenoptera
Diploid females- Offspring (Without Male)
E.g.-Chilonis blackburni (Egg parasitoids of cotton boll worm )
3. Quatertoky (Amphrotocus) –
Its a type of parasitoids activity determine sex progeny.Cause of
uniparental of Produce progeny by environmental conditions
E.g.- 25C- Only male
30C- Only female
