•Like an architect’s ground plan for a house or
building.
•The composer keeps this in mind when he/she begins
to write a song or piece.

4. Assignment
Pick one of the above musical forms to work
with in your song or piece.
Decide which one before you begin. If you
are not sure, start with Binary Form or Ternary
Form.
Remember, the A part of the piece has to be
different from the B part of piece. They must
show contrast.

It is always defaults to Andante
(Moderate)=120
Try faster tempos
Allegro(Fast)=145,
Vivace(Lively)=165, Presto(Very Fast)=200
Slower Tempos
Adagio(Slow)=100, Largo(Very Slow)=85
