Words are not the things they describe;
Symbols are not the things they represent.
No two people can have exactly the same map.
This is the basis for our problems in
communication when we try to impose our map
upon another person.

We always communicate to anyone, even
when we’re not verbally doing that. Body
language and facial expressions have a big
part in our communication.

message - not only what you said but

When something doesn't go as we planned we tend to see that
as failure.

feeling bad we are free to form a new plan of action and try
again.
