Simply put, a topology is that the layout of a network. There are extremely 3 basic kinds of
topologies. they're Star, Bus, and Ring. Let me justify them to you. Star – All computers and devices
are connected to a centrally situated hub or switch. The hub or switch collects and distributes the
flow of knowledge at intervals the network. It's higher to use a switch than a hub as a result of a
switch transmits the info to the supposed recipient instead of to all or any hosts on a network. Bus –

This galaxy is home to supernova SN 2006gy, which was a supernova that was spotted in 2006. This

There is a cluster of galaxies in the Perseus constellation called the "Perseus Cluster." This cluster is

1275 is a dominate galaxy in the Cluster and spans more than 100,000 light years. The galaxy has a
delicate network of filaments that should have been destroyed by collisions with smaller galaxies,

Planetary Nebulae Clouds
Nebula or the plural nebulae is derived from the Latin word for cloud(s), and is a term traditionally
used by astronomers to describe the vast gaseous structures which exist throughout the universe.
Nebulae now have been divided into five major categories due to their reflective and observational
characteristics, these being emission nebulae, reflection nebulae, dark nebulae, supernova remnants
and planetary nebulae.
In fact, the term planetary nebula is a misnomer as they have nothing to do with planets or planetary
systems as the name was derived by eighteenth–century astronomers, William Herschel et al, who
due to the restrictions of observational technology available at that time i.e. small telescopes first
thought they either looked like the gas–giant planets of our solar system or stars forming new
planetary systems.
Planetary nebulae are often given the connotation PN or PNe for the plural by astronomers and
exhibit the final stage of a star's life whose initial size is approximately between 1 and 8 solar
masses, where the unused gases and elements left from nuclear fusion are blown away from the
remaining core producing a luminous colourful halo around it. These phenomena can be very short
lived in astronomical terms, possibly just tens of thousands of years.

in the case of a pulsar star is seen as the periodic delay in the arrival of the pulses from the pulsar
star (Wolszczan 1994). Due to the nature of a Pulsar star we can detect perturbations in its orbit
through its pulses but to detect perturbations in other stars orbits, astronomers use a stars radial
velocity.
The radial velocity method was used to detect the first exoplanet, 51 Pegasi b (51 Peg b) around a
main sequence star, 51 Pegasi (51 Peg). The radial velocity method uses the variations in velocity of
a star due to the gravitational pull from an exoplanet (Lissauer 2002). Furthermore the velocity isn't
measured in terms of actual speed but in terms of light based on the Doppler effect. The Doppler
effect occurs when a star moves. When it moves toward us, its wavelengths of light are shortened
and when a star moves away from us, its wavelengths of light are lengthened. Through the
continued observation of the Doppler effect on a stars spectrum of light, the velocity of a star is
inferred. Any change in a stars velocity is caused by a sufficiently massive companion, an exoplanet
(Lissaeur 2002).

An exoplanet can be defined as a planet that orbits a star outside the solar system. One of the many
exoplanets that could possibly be habitable in the near future are far away. For example, Kepler–186
is around 500 light years aways to put that in perspective that is around 5,878,625,373,183.607731

First off, the most common way to find new planets is Radial Velocity. The Radial Velocity method
relies on the fact that a star does not remain completely stationary when it is orbited by a planet. It
moves, ever so slightly, in a small circle or ellipse, responding to the gravitational tug of its smaller

of a formerly Chinese managed hotel by a western based, international hotel management company.

Some recalled 'if your relatives or your friends knew that you were working in Roaring Dragon, you
would be admired', 'it was a good work unit – danwei', and 'you were lucky if you worked there'3.
The original Hotel was a four–storey, rectangular, grey structure built in 1960 in a dull
Russian style. By 1993, the provincial government had funded a new extension and the Hotel now
consisted of two parts: the old four–storey section joined by a modern sixteen–storey extension
perched on a hill behind the old Russian. There was a contrast in the standard of accommodation.
Room rates were cheaper in the old section and so it attracted Chinese visitors searching for quality
economy accommodation. Visiting government officials and higher–end customers on the other
hand felt more comfortable in the newer and naturally more expensive section. There were two
guarded entrances to the Hotel, one on each level. A series of stairways, elevators and a warren of
banquet rooms, hallways, storage areas, offices, cafeterias, and a laundry untidily connected the two
buildings.

when the provincial government decided to contract an international company to manage the Hotel

Analysis : The Night Sky Planisphere
Summary: For the first part of the lab we measured the right ascension and declination of certain
stars and constellations; we used the star chart like a graph with measurements of time and angles.
Another part of the lab we used a star and planet locator also known as a planisphere to determine
the time and date certain stars and constellations are visible, set, or rise at. Using the planisphere
was quite easy to determine stars and how they correlate to time because it 's pleasant to visualize
and address smaller stars that are not so apparent in the sky to the naked eye.
Questions:
What do your planispheres represent?
Our planispheres are diagrams that depict the date and time a constellation or star will be visible by
it passing through the meridian while facing North to Polaris. The night sky planisphere also depicts
what stars can be seen during any time of the year in specific direction in the sky.
Is it possible to predict a celestial event using planispheres?
Planispheres can only locate stars according to time and position but cannot predict celestial events
like eclipses or asteroids.
What is right ascension?
Right ascension is a measurement of hours and minutes in eastward motion on the celestial equator.
What is declination?
Declination is the opposite of ascension, meaning it 's a horizontal measurement. It is the
measurement of how far the sun is from the celestial equator in degrees from 0 to 90.

combination of three different topologies. The topologies represented are Ring, Star, and Mesh. The
first topology represented is the Ring topology. A ring topology is a network in which all traffic
moves in only one direction because of this the speed is faster than some other topologies, even as

It is the most cost effective strategy for "cash–strapped" businesses with no special emphasis on
security. Sometimes the cheapest design doesn't always translate into the easiest design. In this case,
the translation is a success. The hub will serve as the intermediary between the computers and the
internet (via cable modem). Also, in this case, easy design also translate into easy troubleshooting of
any network problem. The star network allows troubleshooters to isolate issues on the network
instead of taking the entire local network offline. Moreover, the star network implies direct data
flow from the computers (via hub) to the internet instead of the data flowing through the nodes first.
Hence, speed is a benefit of such a network. In addition, because of the direct data flow
methodology (nodes–to–hub–to–modem–to–internet–and–vice–versa), the data is safe. Finally, the
star network allows for expansion of nodes, hubs, and gateways without losing any of the networks
advantages listed on this page. The owner plans to eventually add 7 more computers to the network.
My recommendation is to purchase an additional hub to manage the 7 additional computers. Also,
an additional modem is needed for load balancing purposes.

constituent parts are arranged. The physical topology of a network is the actual geometric layout of
workstations. There are several common physical topologies based on the configuration. They are

Advantages of the Star Network Design It is the most cost effective strategy for "cash–strapped" businesses with no special emphasis on security. Sometimes the cheapest design doesn't always translate into the easiest design. In this case, the translation is a success. The hub will serve as the intermediary between the computers and the internet (via cable modem). Also, in this case, easy design also translate into easy troubleshooting of any network problem. The star network allows troubleshooters to isolate issues on the network instead of taking the entire local network offline. Moreover, the star network implies direct data flow from the computers (via hub) to the internet instead of the data flowing through the nodes first. Hence, speed is a benefit of such a network. In addition, because of the direct data flow methodology (nodes–to–hub–to–modem–to–internet–and–vice–versa), the data is safe.
