2. FEEDBACK: TRAILER
e got the feedback that the lighting in this scene was “too yellow” so
we re-filmed this using as much natural lighting as possible, along
with using a white lamp. Along with this in post production, while in
Final Cut Pro, I used the colour corrector to get out any yellow light
that did seep through into the shot.

3. FEEDBACK: TRAILER
pon seeing the shot of Sydney shopping, I was told it may look better
with an added effect over the top, to not confuse the audience that
she is still alive. I thought this was extremely logical and in order to
show the audience she is dead, all the scenes with Sydney in after had
a brown, past effect.

4. FEEDBACK: TRAILER
pon feedback I was told it was quite unclear where they were meant
to be. The audience was not aware it was meant to be an interview
with the police. So to fix this I added an effect which said it was
recording. The audience identified with the effect more and said it
looked better and helped get the idea across that Aaron was being
accused of his sister’s death.

5. FEEDBACK: TRAILER
decided to get feedback on the opening scene of the trailer for A
Question of Identity, as I filmed and edited this by myself and would
like to see what the feedback was.
t was found to be a “compelling opening sequence” due to the
“amazing god’s eye view from the moving aircraft, just incredible”
he establishing shot “anchors the setting very well” as you can see
iconic London with the River Thames.
ets across the “urban, gritty drama extremely well”
was asked on how it was achieved as the “shear professionalism” of
the shot is not normally seen in low budget projects.
6. FEEDBACK: TRAILER
The flashes work well as they grasp the audience attention and makes
you watch, along with making you curious, since you know something
is about to happen.” – Jordi Skilbeck, 18, Male. London, England.
asked for specific feedback on the flashes as I did them in order to
show the intensity of the trailer and catch the audience’s attention
and draw them in. As the flashes are usually quick, if you are not
paying attention you would miss them.
7. FEEDBACK: TRAILER SOUNDTRACK
The soundtrack is generally one of the best bits, it adds the tension
and kept me interested throughout, amazing job.” – Jay Collins, 22,
Male. London, England
I find it quite hard to hear the police officer” – Gemma Tikkoo, 17,
Female. London, England
I think this bit is hard to hear what they are saying” [Referring to the
custody scene] – Jason Newman, 40, Male. Greater London, England.
agreed with the last two feedback and changed it making it much
easier to hear and understand them clearly.
8. FEEDBACK: POSTER
y initial idea was to do a dissolving effect, having Aaron appear to be
dissolving into the background of the image, however I created another
poster with Aaron fading into smoke.
pon getting the following feedback:
- Sarah Collins, 46, Female. Greater London, England:
“I like the dissolving image as it looks like his identity is dissolving and is no
longer going to exist”
-Joanna Collins, 23, Female. Surrey, England:
“I think the smoke works better as it looks more professional.”
-Jenny Conway, 36, Female. Surrey, England:
“The smoke defiantly flows smoother than the dissolving image”
-Jordi Skilbeck, 18, Male. London, England:
“The dissolving is good, however not enough. I personally think the smoke
looks more professional and slicker. Although if you did want to continue
with the dissolving effect you would need to add more to it and make more
of him fade away, especially by the feet."
9. FEEDBACK: POSTER
pon the feedback I was given I decided to follow through the idea of
the smoke, as the majority said it looked more professional, and
flowed smoothly.
then got feedback from Twitter, I posted four images with different
variations of a title design. I then got feedback saying people’s
opinions.
decided to go with the first one as it is, in my opinion, easier to read.

11. FEEDBACK: POSTER
I think the poster itself is very nice, well presented, however I would
make the coat a darker grey, almost black. Just so its not all grey in
the poster and it creates a bit of depth. The slogan also looks a bit out
of place, so maybe try and incorporate somewhere.” - Jade Foolhea,
Photography teacher. Surrey, England.

12. FEEDBACK: POSTER
• I asked for feedback on the finished poster, here are some of the
responses I got.
• “I like how it all follows one colour scheme, I like the layout” – Omar
Parreira, 18, Male. Greater London, England.
• “The imprint of other images over the body of the poster is very
effective in setting the scene.” – Jordi Skilbeck, 18, Male. London,
England.
13. FEEDBACK: FILM MAGAZINE COVER
fter receiving feedback on my film magazine cover, Jenny Mann,
Female. Surrey, England said “it has remarkable strengths, however
one of the weaker features, are the size of the masterhead, also the
articles need to be featured more and have some writing about them.
A Question of Identity, should not be at a cantered angle, neither
should the articles. Add another colour to the page, so its more than
just the red and grey’s” Upon this feedback I re-designed my film
magazine cover and the outcome was a lot stronger and more
professional looking.
15. FEEDBACK: SOCIAL MEDIA
used social media site: Twitter in order to gain feedback for the
characters and props of the trailer, I posted a poll asking who the
audience favorite character was. I also asked people what they
thought of the death reports of Sydney I had made. I got response of
people saying 'spooky'. I also asked who is excited for the movie
release. Here are a few images showing feedback on social media.

17. FEEDBACK: TITLE
ue to my group and I being unable to all agree on a subtle name of
our film trailer, we took to asking what our audience would like.
n class we did a survey of 11 people people, 10 voted for A Question of
Identity, one voted for Consequences of Identity.
then continued the survey and asked my friends and family, here
were the results:

20. FEEDBACK: IDENT
fter making the Ident, I got some feedback, and what we could
improve about the Ident. I did this by showing the Ident to a series of
different people, varying in age and gender and asking for feedback.
Could potentially look better with a multi-coloured background" -
Jordi Skilbeck, male, 18 years old. London, England
thought about this answer, and decided for our genre of trailer, I
don't believe the company producing it would have a bright multi-
coloured background. As it gives off a different atmosphere then the
one I am trying to achieve. This being said, I believe the black and
silver background looks best, however I agree a multi-coloured
background would be more eye-catching.
21. FEEDBACK: IDENT
The Earth could rotate and spin" - Sarah Conway, female, 48 years old.
Greater London, England
hen making the production company Ident, I considering rotating the
earth, however I worried it would take away from the key aspect of
the Ident, the company name. I did not want the audience to look at
the Earth rather than the words 'Blacklight Productions'.
The efficient speed of the text drop meant that, while it allowed for
an element of suspension, the viewer will not become disinterested" -
Alex Shah, male, 17 year old. London, England
