4. Airbnb has responded to the Supreme Court decision
yesterday to uphold President Trump's travel ban
with a defiant new spot.
The company immediately released the digital ad,
once again underlining the value of travel. To a
montage of journey-themed clips played in reverse,
from a horse-drawn wagon going backwards to cars
crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, it asks the viewer
to "imagine a world without travel." It goes on to say
pointedly that in a world where "everyone built walls
and stayed at home," there would be no immigrants,
exploration or adventure, and certainly no United
States of America. "To limit travel is to turn back
progress," it concludes.

5. AB InBev's Budweiser won the Grand
Prix for Print and Publishing for
"Tagwords," a campaign that
encourages people to Google different
images of its place in musical history
throughout the years.
Tagwords leverages the ubiquity of
Google search by replacing a billboard

6. Ikea is great at cheeky, topical social posts,
and this time it's the World Cup that's on its
radar.
The insight is that, amongst all the World
Cup fever, there are those who aren't

9. Kroger, the nation’s largest
supermarket chain, is teaming up with
Nuro, a two-year-company started by
two veterans of Google’s self-driving
car team, to launch a fully driverless
delivery service, the two companies
announced Thursday.
A pilot will be rolled out to a yet-to-be-
announced city later this fall. To start
out, Nuro will use a fleet of self-driving
test vehicles with human safety
drivers to make deliveries for Kroger’s
grocery stores.

retail reach in Asia, with the rollout of
a WeChat store in China.

11. The world’s largest cosmetics company,
L’Oreal, and Alibaba Group are upping
their efforts to reduce waste by
committing to use environmentally
friendly packaging for all L’Oreal products
sold in China within the next five months.
The agreement signed on Monday, which

continuing efforts in New Retail, was
witnessed by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang
and French Prime Minister Edouard

13. Ford is working with the online ordering
platform Postmates to pilot an expanded
self-driving food delivery service, according
to a Medium post by Alexandra Ford English,
a member of Ford's Autonomous Vehicle
Business team.
The test is underway in Miami and Miami
Beach, Florida, with more than 70
participating businesses. When placing an
order, consumers choose if they want it
delivered by a self-driving vehicle. For the
pilot, Ford designed the Transit Connect, a

food secure and allows for multiple
deliveries in one trip.

standalone app for watching long-

21. Nearly two months after
introducing Snappables, its social AR
offering, Snap is now working with
companies to create and sell branded
versions of Snappables games. The new
offering is part of a larger effort to make

22. YouTube is expanding Sponsorships, its
relatively new service that lets viewers pay
creators a monthly subscription fee in

which existed only in beta prior to today, will
now be available to any channel in the

personalities to live-stream their play
sessions and post edited recordings of

agreed to buy San Francisco-based
technology company Smyte, which
describes itself as “trust and safety as a
service.” Founded in 2014 by former

24. Pinterest has set the pace for how to
present visual search results to those

than words as answers.
Now, Google has taken a cue from the

It’s testing a new look for its images
