Everyone and their mothers were out partying it up at Coachella this past weekend, and it truly looked like a lot of fun! BeyoncГ© gave an inspiring
two–hour performance that shook everyone and their mothers to their core. Instagram was flooded with awesome "fits" and "dos." LMU students and
many of my personal friends also went, coming back with exciting stories and memories to tell.
However, a few alarming accusations resurfaced in light of Coachella's 19th event in 2018.
It was said that the CEO of Golden Voice/Coachella,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Coachella is also known as a hotspot for witnessing a lot of cultural appropriation. While this isn't the fault of the festival itself necessarily but the fault
of the attendees, it is a vibe that the festival indirectly promotes. Many people go dressed in Native American attire, wearing headdresses, feathers or
war paint –which all have sacred meanings in Native American culture. Bindis are also a hot accessory among the attendees, but they are worn by
South Asian women and are supposed to represent the third eye, a sacred site of wisdom and spiritual development, according to Teen Vogue.
Paloma Jacome Bramkamp, a freshman entrepreneurship major, sheds light on this issue. "Coachella is a space that allows cultural appropriation,
which is something that is really promoted in the festival's vibe. You have stores with Coachella sections that mimic these things and make them into a
fashion or style," Bramkamp

Health Policy And Impact On Vulnerable Populations
Health Policy and Impact on Vulnerable Populations
Tram Nguyen
Arizona State University Health Policy and Impact on Vulnerable Populations (Title) Pneumonia is a form of acute respiratory infection which is
caused by a bacterium called Streptococcus pneumoniae. Pneumonia is transmitted via air–borne droplets from coughing and sneezing, and it may also
spread through blood. In 2015, pneumonia killed 15 percent of all deaths in children under the age of five, becoming the leading cause of death in
children all over the world (World Health Organization[WHO], 2015a). Many efforts were made to reduce the prevalence of pneumonia, including the
free vaccination program in 2011 against pneumonia in Kenya, which is supported by WHO and GAVI Alliance (WHO, 2015b). However, in 2012,
Kenya was still ranked among the 15 countries with the highest number of deaths cause by pneumonia, suggesting problems with current policies
(Onyango, Kikuvi, Amukoye, & Omolo, 2012). This paper will evaluate these existing policies and discuss potential solutions to overcome the
epidemic of pneumonia in Kenya.
Population and Geographic Area
Located in Eastern Africa, Kenya lies across the equator in central Africa. Kenya is surrounded by Somalia to the east, Ethiopia to the north, Tanzania
to the south, Uganda to the west, and Sudan to the northwest. Kenya has a young population of 45,925,301 people with 5.3 percent of the adult

The Purposes Of The United Nations Essay
The Purposes of the United nations are:
1. To maintain international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective collective measures for the prevention and removal of threats to the
peace, and for the suppression of acts of aggression or other breaches of the peace, and to bring about by peaceful means, and in conformity with the
principles of justice and internal law, adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations which might lead to a breach of the peace;
2. To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self determination of peoples, and to take other
appropriate measures to strengthen universal peace;
3. To achieve international cooperation in solving internal problems of an economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian character and in promoting and
encouraging respect for human rights and for fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to race, sex, language, or religion (Charter, 1).
On June 25, 1945 the United Nations Charter was signed, setting the framework for economic, social and political reform (Patterson, UN, 20) By
October 24, 1945,
the United Nations had become an official organization. Two months later, by December 27, the UN Charter had 51 signatures, making it a new world
power with the ultimate aim for peace and humanitarian efforts. The preamble to the Charter of the United Nations states:

The Pros And Cons Of The Holocaust
In 1933 and 1934 Hitler contrivance a policy that devastated Jewish families throughout Europe. Before the beginning of World War II, Adolf Hitler
attained control of the German government and the German people through his rhetorically powerful speeches and propaganda, and the people
followed his lead. In Hitler's propaganda, which supported his racial and political ideologies, he felt a need to eliminate the Jewish community,
because of inherent belief that Jews caused the fall of the German economy during the Great Depression. However, the policies of extermination that
Hitler expanded in World War II concentration camps, specifically during 1942–1944, exemplify a stronger Jewish hatred than merely economics.
Hitler believed that Jews were "culture destroyers", and needed to be eliminated before they destroyed the German nation. Hitler's ideologies are
clear, but what was less clear were the U.S. populace. To interrogate U.S. reactions to what would become known as the Holocaust, this paper
examines two newspaper publications. The US news article "U.S. Help for Jews Asked by Alfange: He Says We, Allies and Neutrals"attempted to
create U.S. reactions supporting the assistance of Jews, while recognizing the continuing Jewish support Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt. In contrast, the news
article, "Group Plans to Aid Jews In Nazi Fight" by Murphy Chairman, only expressed organizing a committee to create a plan to help eastern
European Jews, but failed to push U.S. reactions

Ethical Dilemmas Of War In War
Introduction There are old war customs, which becomes rules and finally laws, that provide protec–tion to civilians during war, women and children, in

order to safe majority, even civilians, it is not new. Throw history, many of leaders, generals or officers were faced with some questions. Higher level
of protection include non–combatants civilians, resolutely pro–tected category in armed conflict. Worst case is, if civilians are casualties during armed

The United Nations Essay
The United Nations
The United Nations, with its rigid moral and political limitations against force, has become a benchmark of peace and a social achievement of
modern times. From war torn Europe, the United Nations developed from five major powers with an initial goal to prevent the spread of warfare
through peaceful means and to establish and maintain fundamental human rights. Through the past fifty years, this organization has broadened its
horizons with auxiliary organizations from peace keeping missions to humanitarian aid, to economic development. However, in a modern example of
ethnic cleansing, the UN faces new a new role as a bystander as its power is bypassed by NATOforces. The UN, however, promises to be an ... Show

However, the League, once secure used its representatives' power and presence as a threat, but did not follow through with such threats when major
opposition arose. For example, in the 1930s, the League of Nations "possessed neither the will nor the means to stop them [fascist dictators in Italy,
Germany, and Japan]" (Patterson, UN, 14). Although this organization did little to prevent the Second World War in 1939, it did pave the way for
humanitarian aid efforts to refugees and helped to resolve a number of border disputes before the war. Following the second of the World Wars, the
League of Nations was replaced by the modern United Nations. This organization's aims were similar to their predecessor's, to maintain harmony
through settling border disputes and to offer humanitarian aid wherever necessary, but the UN's charter states further that tolerance and equality is
necessary in peace: The Purposes of the United nations are: 1. To maintain international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective collective
measures for the prevention and removal of threats to the peace, and for the suppression of acts of aggression or other breaches of the peace, and to

Corporate Strategy for Non-Profit Organisations
1.Introduction and History The concept of strategy is as old as the history of wars itself. "The Art of War" the first comprehensive book on strategy
was written about 500 BC. The roots of strategy are in competition. The word "strategic" derives from the Greek word "strategos," which means "a
general set of manoeuvres carried out to overcome an enemy during combat" (Nutt & Backoff 1992, p. 56). However, corporate strategy gained the
recognition of being a separate field of study around fifty years ago (Kay 2003). The most famous work on for–profit strategy is Porter's "Competitive
Strategy". He defines strategy as: "developing a competitive strategy is developing a broad formula for how a business is going to compete, what its
goals... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some authors hold the view that strategy concepts developed for the for–profit organisations cannot be applied at all to non–profit organisations due to
the fundamental differences that exist between the natures of these two types of organisations (e.g. Newman and Wallender 1978). It is very likely that
because of this thinking the non–profit strategy has received little attention of management researchers (Hatten 1982). By contrast other authors, believe
that the differences in these two types of organisations do not mean that the strategy concepts developed for one cannot be applied to the other (e.g.
Koteen 1989, Sheehan 1996, and Montanari and Bracker 1986). According to them the existence of differences, only require some adaptation of the
strategy concepts before they can be applied to the non–profit sector. Even these changes are not required for some concepts. The most significant
differences that inhibit the applicability of for–profit strategy theories to non–profit organisations are the following: Different measures of
organisational effectiveness: Non–profit effectiveness is often defined in terms of the achievement of mission (e.g. increase in literacy rate, access to
health/ water/ sanitation facilities, etc) (Sheehan 1996) while for–profit effectiveness often focuses on economic profit and/or shareholder value. So,

Human Trafficking in China Essay
Human trafficking is prevalent throughout the world, especially in Asia and more specifically in China but the government and non–governmental
organizations (NGO) are taking measures to put an end to it. Human trafficking involves exploitation of human beings; either sexually or by coercing
them to work in unfavourable conditions for little pay or nothing at all. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) defines human
trafficking as "the acquisition of people by improper means such as force, fraud or deception, with the aim of exploiting them." Women and children,
especially girls between the ages of fourteen and twenty constitute the majority of victims of human trafficking. "China is a source, transit and

And this is the source of human trafficking; gullible, poverty stricken ethnic Chinese people. To prove this, United Nations Inter–Agency Project on
Human Trafficking (UNIAP) reckoned "the number of female migrants is also rising rapidly, most of whom are young girls aged 17–25"
"China is a transit country for trafficked victims destined to Thailand and Malaysia for commercial sexual exploitation, forced marriage, illegal
adoption, begging, and forced labor" (www. Humantrafficking.org). Where China is located in Asia makes it inevitable for traffickers to transit there
with their victims. Traffickers travelling down from Mongolia, North Korea to Southern Asia make stops in China.
More often than not, China is a final destination for trafficked people. "Most women and girls are trafficked from North Korea, Vietnam, Russia, and
Burma. This is because there is a higher population of women than men in these countries relative to the destined countries, like China. As you know,
a lot of Chinese mothers have been aborting their female foetuses for a while now because the country and society has shown preference to male
children. As a result, there are less female youths than males in China. China is at the forefront when it comes to countries whose men who solicit
young girls for sexual purposes and pay for brides from female populous countries like Vietnam and Burma.

Bible Interpretation Paper : New International Version Essay
Bible Interpretation Paper I examined Jeremiah 13:1–11in these three translations: New International Version (NIV), English Standard Version (ESV),
and The Message (MSG); most of the perspectives will be coming from the NIV. The NIV calls this narrative 'A Linen Belt', the ESV called it 'The
Ruined Loincloth', and the MSG called it 'People Who Do Only What They Want to Do'. The story starts out with God telling Jeremiah to buy a
linen belt and not to let it touch water. Jeremiah bought the linen belt and tied it around his waist just as God told him to do. Then God said to
him that he should take the belt to Perath (possibly the Euphrates) and hide it in a crevice amongst the rocks. Jeremiah obeyed God, went to Perath
and hid the linen belt in a crevice between the rocks. Many days later God told him that he should go get the belt that he hid amongst the rocks and
Jeremiah listened to God so he went back to Perath to retrieve the linen belt. Jeremiah retrieved the belt, but now has a belt that is ruined and
useless. Then God said, "In the same way I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem. These wicked people, who refuse to listen to
my words, who follow the stubbornness of their hearts and go after other gods to serve and worship them, will be like this belt–completely useless!
For as a belt is bound around the waist, so I bound all the people of Israel and all the people of Judah to me, to be my people for my renown and praise

3. What environmental forces have created challenges for Mattel as it continues expansion into global markets? Which markets have created
opportunities?
The biggest environment force affected Mattel recently has been legal and regulatory with the high levels of lead paint found in their die–cast toys in
2007. This issue created a voluntary recall from Mattel for over 2 million toys and created doubt in customers to the quality of their Mattel toys. Mattel
responded by immediately implementing a check system to accept paint only from certified suppliers, tightened controls throughout the production
process and testing every production run to ensure compliance. Mattel said that it is working in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety
Commission and other regulatory agencies worldwide. Mattel is also working with retailers worldwide to identify and remove affected products from
retail shelves.
In addition to legal factors, economic forces also affect Mattel, especially the global economy because of its international operations and markets. The
fluctuations in currency and the rising energy costs have Mattel concerned. Mattel has made energy saving changes in its production to offset the costs.
Although Mattel has its challenges, Mattel's market in Asia has created opportunities for outsourcing as a

"We the people of the United Nations," is the beginning of the UN preamble. First states, "Determined to save succeeding generations from war."
Secondly to, "reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights." Third, to uphold international law. And fourth, "to promote social progress and better
standards of life in larger freedom." The UN is a controversial topic that many people have different opinions about. In this paper it will discuss the
history to how the United Nations came about, the structure of it, what it has done and is doing towards helping people and keeping peace. And overall

The UN began as an alliance that formed a little after the American entry when Germany declared war on the U.S., 1941. WW11 was hot and heavy,
a global conflict that created the "Grand Alliance." WW11 was brutal and bloody. Death count was as high as 71 million. The effect the war had was
huge. In the end it altered the world. The UN was created to contain the change of what the world had become. Franklin D. Roosevelt pushed for the
formation of the UN. Representatives from China, the Soviet Union, United and the United States came together and formulated the basic outline for
the new international organization. On October 24, 1945, the United Nations officially came into existence. The structure of the United Nations has
six main parts. The six main parts of the UN are the General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council, Trusteeship Council (later
outdated), International Court of Justice and the Secretariat. All of them meet frequently and do things such as make decisions and issue declarations.
Although these parts may come together as one, they are completely different. The United is more than these parts: fifteen agencies. Part of why the
membership growth is so fast is because of its complexity. Because the UN gets larger, it is also given more responsibilities. The Security Council is
the main part of the whole UN family. It was initially made up of eleven states and later on grew. Members include the Permanent Five and then some

Poverty, child labour, low wages, long working hours, no employments benefits and illiteracy caused by coffee industries in coffee growing
communities due to increased demand of coffee farmer's children are involved to do work hard with their parents to earn more and also remain illiterate.
2. Environmental issues:– Due to increasing demand of coffee, farmers use agrochemicals on coffee plantation to increase productivity of coffee that
will impact the quality of coffee as well as cause health problems and pollute environment.
High production of coffee causes deforestation because coffee growing countries require too much land to grow coffee more to fulfill the demand of

Plastic cups used for serving tea and coffee will increase wastage while they use recycling.
Bad agricultural methods and techniques lead to soil erosion.
Genetically modified organisms (GMO's) cause risk for other plant species and consumer health problems.

Even middle man pays less than the market price to them. It impacts the income of farmers and cause unemployment, poverty, child labour and

Factors Going Into The Afghan War
Introduction
Conflicts exist in all sizes. There are conflicts between neighbors about trees, there are conflicts between children about toys, there are conflicts
between politicians about opinions, and there are conflicts between nations. A conflict, in essence, is a disagreement. Conflicts vary. Some are like the
China/Norway conflict after a Chinese "criminal" got the Nobel Peace Prize thanks to his fight for democracy. China boycotts Norway in trading,
while Norway doesn't see the problem as the Nobel Committee is independent and not controlled by the state. Other conflicts are more serious, like the
one between the U.S. and Afghanistan (Taliban). After 9/11, USA entered Afghanistan to findOsama bin Laden, whom Taliban was protecting.... Show

Northern Alliance, an Afghan fighter group, with the aid and support of the U.S., as well as other countries including the United Kingdom, and the
Northern Alliance gained control over Kabul.
Current Situation
Twelve years later, Afghanistan remains a dangerous place, and British, as well as other countries' troops are still present in Afghanistan, fighting the
Taliban, who continue to carry out surprise attacks, causing deaths amongst both armed forces and civilians. Afghanistan is torn by chronic instability;
after being subject to decades of conflict its economy and infrastructure is in ruins, many Afghans are refugees, and the government struggles to extend
authority beyond the capital, and there is little sense of national unity.
Parties Involved
In the Afghanistan war, the two main involved parts are the Taliban and the NATO countries. The Taliban had been ruling Afghanistan for several
years, and they did not want to just give their power to the intruders. Their goal is

Gay Teens
The teen years can often times be very difficult in general, but for homosexual teens their problems can turn out to be more than they can deal with.
Being gay for many teens is something that they can not live with because society, most of the time, says that homosexuality is wrong. These teens
usually have no one to go to with his or her problems for fear of being taunted or harassed. Also, schools rarely have groups for gay students to go to
for help and parents are often unaware of what their children are going through. With no place to go and no one to help them, homosexual teens can feel
alienated which may force them think of more harmful ways of dealing with their problems, so at times gay teens may turn to suicide rather than ...

There are many more responsibilities that teens have to deal with like fact that in most families both parents work and the older kids are left being
the parent to their brothers and sisters or their parents are divorced and this causes a lot more problems in their home lives. These teens are
expected to take on responsibilities that they are not ready for, and this can cause added stress and depression. When depressed, many people can not
find a way to be happy. When people are unhappy with their lives and can not make themselves happy, they think of other ways to relieve their pain,
and suicide, along with drug use, is becoming a more common way to end ones pain. For homosexual teens there are far more problems that they have
to deal with in their every–day lives.
Gay teens have significantly higher rates of both attempts and thoughts of suicide. In his study on gay teen suicide, Patrick Healy concluded that gay
teens are "five times more likely to attempt suicide than their heterosexual peers"(2001). As reported in "Lesbian News", "these youth account for
35% of the American population and 15% of all suicide deaths"(Ocamb 2001). Of the 4,000 students who were surveyed in 1997, 40 percent out of the
10 percent of high school students who attempted suicide were gay. For many gay teens their everyday existence can cause severe psychological
damage. When they are at school they are taunted and

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) was formed on May 1, 1707 and consists of four countries: England, Scotland,
Northern Ireland, and Wales. The four countries are united by the monarch and the government. The UK was one of the United Nations' (UN) 51
original members, being admitted on October 24, 1945.
The UK's education system plays an important role in reducing poverty amongst those residing in any one of the countries. Education also promotes
democracy, peace, tolerance, development, and economic growth. Education must be child centered, empowering, and must include life skills, as well.

Half the Sky Movement's Efforts to Empower Women Worldwide
Throughout history, women have been victims of oppression. Even though there have been attempts to shed light on the issue that women face
worldwide, it seems as if humanity still does not understand its importance. Society has tried to mold everyone to believe that white heterosexual
men are superior to those who do not fit the hegemonic norm. However, there have been women and men who dedicated their lives to fight this
worldwide issue. Amongst those people are Nicholas Kristoff and Cheryl WuDunn, who are authors of Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into
Opportunity for Women Worldwide and who are also featured in the movie documentary. Ishrad Manji defines Gendercide in his article "Changing
Lives" that was published in The New York Times as "the daily slaughter of girls in the developing world" and it "steals more lives in any given
decade than all the genocides of the 20th century." Sex trafficking, forced prostitution, maternal mortality, and gender–based violence are subjects that
are especially exposed. Therefore, the Half the Sky Movement has proposed microfinance and education as ways to overcome these problems. There
are currently 2 to 3 million prostitutes in India. During my research, it has seemed that there are only three explanations for this high number. The first
being that women work as prostitutes to bring food to the table for their children because there is no other means of income. Second, most girls are
coerced and cannot leave without being punished

Question 1
Air Asia was established in 2001 by CEO Tony Fernandes and his three partners. It is an Asia's leading low fare airline. By using a strong slogan "Now

Global airlines would not meet expected profit due to high oil price and turmoil in Japan, North Africa and Middle East. Nonetheless, According to
Centre for APA, Asia pacific capacity continues strong trend. In the first quarter 2011, LCCs grows a number of services by 20%.
The challenges faced by AirAsia
Legal constraints
Legality plays a very important role in the performance of any business activity. Being a service provider in low–cost, Air Asia is subjected to aviations
regulations, policies and restricted by the government on every transaction such as landing, flying and other rights of local airport. Also, it depends on
geography and infrastructure of Asia, and passenger's fondness. For instance, the government might favour certain airline than the others. With this
major issue, it is difficult for the survival of the airline company.
Increased competition Competition is another major aspect to be considered. The company should have a good competitive advantage over the other
aviation companies to exist and survive in the market for its own growth and development. New players are fighting for a market shares in the region

The theme of the source provided is to what extent we should pursue nationalism. Nationalism is the sense of belonging to a certain group or
community. The source is talking about how nations have created alliances which causes them to lose some of their sovereignty. During the source the
author explains "... Nations have formed economic and military alliances with each other. It is often necessary for nations to give up some degree of
sovereignty" this proves that this source is against internationalism and is for nationalism. Independence is what separates nations from one another.

Military alliances can have deadly results. Military alliances cause countries to feel threatened and in turn create more alliances until many of the
strong countries are on their side. Before World War One, countries were becoming more internationalists with increase in trade caused by the
industrial revolution. With the internationalist mindset powerful counties created alliances. Two of the most powerful alliances were The Triple
Entente and The Triple Alliance. Colonies of counties at the time was also forces into war because they were not independent. When the Austrian
duke was murdered by a Serbian nationalist, Austria declared war on Serbia. Unknowingly Austria had created a world war. Countries such as
Canada were also forced into war because they were not independent at the time. If countries had not created alliances with one another the war would
only be between Austria and Serbia. Internationalism caused World War One, and the damage associated with it. Military alliances often allow a
county to want a war because they can show off their new weapons and be sure that other countries have their back. If military alliances were not
foremen countries would not have had insurance that someone would help then in conflict. The loss of sovereignty between some of the most
powerful countries at the time led to consequences none of them expected. The loss of sovereignty led to world war

Arizona State University Pneumonia Vaccine Policies in Kenya Pneumonia is a form of acute respiratory infection which is caused by a bacterium
called Streptococcus pneumoniae. Pneumonia is transmitted via air–borne droplets from coughing and sneezing, and it may also spread through blood.
In 2015, pneumonia killed 15 percent of all deaths in children under the age of five, becoming the leading cause of death in children all over the world (
World Health Organization[WHO], 2015a). Many efforts were made to reduce the prevalence of pneumonia, including the free vaccination program in
2011 against pneumonia in Kenya, which is supported by WHO and GAVI Alliance (WHO, 2015b). However, in 2012, Kenya was still ranked among
the 15 countries with the highest number of deaths caused by pneumonia, suggesting problems with the current policies (Onyango, Kikuvi, Amukoye,

What Is The Importance Of Hitler's Group Plans To Aid Jews
The era and the actions of Adolf Hitler leadership of the Nazi party during the year of 1933 and 1934 were devastating to the Jews. During the World
War II era, Adolf Hitler took control of the German government and the German people through his speeches and propaganda, and the people uplifted
him in his leadership. In Hitler's propaganda, he felt the need to eliminate the Jewish community which he felt the Jews impacted the fall of the
German economy. The US news article "U.S. Help for Jews Asked by Alfange: He Says We, Allies and Neutrals" provided actions made by the
United States in support of providing assistance and support from Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt and the American people; while the news article "Group
Plans to Aid Jews In Nazi Fight" by Murphy Chairman only expressed organizing a committee to create a plan. Both US newspapers showed the United
States had different views on handling the situation regarding supporting the Jews in their situation. While both of the US articles had their similar
views in wanting to support the Jews, however, the outcome of their planning differed.

Using Michael Porter's "Five–Forces" model it is possible to gain an understanding of where Virgin stands in relation to the competition and how it can
adjust to increase its competitiveness. The diagram below is a graphical representation of Porter's model.
Threat of New Entrants
1. Threat of Foreign Carriers – Many large foreign airlines are expanding their reach to new market segments that are likely to encroach on Virgin's
market share. Emirates air, Cathay Pacific, and Qatar airlines have all been successful at stealing market share from their US competitors on domestic
and international routes (Mayerowitz, 2008).
2. Low Cost and Regional Airline Startups – Companies like Jet Blue, Ryanair (European), and EasyJet (AirTran) are all LCC's that have potentially
devastating effects on market share for larger more expensive airlines (The Economist, 2004).
Bargaining Power of Suppliers
1. Fuel Companies – Fuel is one of the airline industry's largest variable costs (on average 40% of their budget). Aside from hedging or put and call
options, which can backfire, airlines are at the mercy of fuel companies and have very little bargaining power (Hargreaves, 2012).

Philanthropy In Sports
Professional sports in which athletes receive compensation for their athletic talent and abilities, is often only associated with the entertainment
industry. One can watch a sporting event on TV or pay to go to the arena or stadium to watch the competition live. Outside of watching and
participating in a sport, professional leagues are businesses, concerned about making a profit from their fan base. It is seldom that one would
associate a professional athletic club with philanthropy. According to Webster's College Dictionary, the definition of philanthropy is an "altruistic
concern for human beings especially as manifested by donations of money, property, or work to needy persons or to institutions advancing human
welfare" (Webster's). In a business concerned with its bottom line, donating money for a humanitarian cause would seem like a seldom seem
practice. The Barcelona Football Club, however, has proven throughout the years that giving back to the community is what helps them adhere to
their team motto "mes que un club" or Catalan for "more than a club". Barcelona Football Club, located in Barcelona, Spain, according to Forbes is
the eighth most valuable sports team in the world and the third most valuable soccer team. In 2012, the team earned about $602 million in revenues
and a record $59 million in profits with player's salaries reaching $362 million (Fontevecchia). Of that profit, 0.7% and 0.5% of player salaries is

The Importance Of Maternal And Child Health Progress On A...
Importance of Maternal and Child Health Progress on a Global Scale As one of the most significant and pressing priorities of the Unites States
government concerning global health, child and maternal health is crucial and must be improved on an international level. Of all the Millennium
Development Goals, goals four and five have shown the least amount of progress. The goals which aim to reduce child mortality and improve maternal
health, respectively, have shown an embarrisingly minimal amount of progress for the obstrusively simple solutions that accompany the situation. It is
essential to strengthen maternal and child health programs as it is a human rights issue as well as a health concern. Women around the world deserve
to have improved access to high–quality services. (8) Policies regarding health as well as multisectoral policies are vital in this effort as they will help
in establishing a healthy environment which will foster the proliferation and facilitation of interventions. Despite the clear issues that require urgent
addressing such as the stagnant maternal death rate and high newborn mortality rates, other issues still require immediate attention as maternal and
child health is an incredibly important topic among organizations that are focusing on global health. The reason this issue presents itself in urgency
and is becoming a high priority does not solely rest in the severity of the case. The problems that surround maternal and child health are so easily

A well–known issue, right now, in the USA is that of the legalization of marijuana. This controversial topic is on the minds of our entire country.
Whether or not to legalize marijuana has been a nation wide debate for years. In this informative speech I will be discussing only facts and opinions.
Opinions and facts will come from organizations such as The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, Marijuana Legalization

These individuals feel that Marijuana is not a harmful substance and can serve to profit states that legalize it. The biggest concern on everyone's mind

drug market by permitting coffee shops all over the country to sell small amounts of marijuana to adults, individuals use marijuana and other drugs
at rates less than half of their American counterparts." (norml.org) The argument is that, if marijuana were not illegal it would not be a problem.
The DPA website states that the majority of the individuals that use marijuana never even use any other illicit drugs. This statement disproves that
common misconception about marijuana being a gateway drug. Finally my sources argue that keeping marijuana illegal it is costing more than
necessary. MLO claims that "Cost of keeping marijuana illegal = cost of active law enforcement + cost of prosecution (and defense!) of accused
offenders + cost of incarceration of convicted offenders + hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenue that would be generated if drugs were legal
and taxed + cost of foster care and social services for children of incarcerated offenders." "Washington state would save about $105 million a year if

Marketing Strategy Of Harley Davidson
Part 1. Summarize current strategy.
Harley–Davidson has primarily a focused differentiation strategy. It is important to the company that they focus on leisure riders and that their
products are viewed as being unique from their competitors. Their scope is very narrow because they are only selling to riders that want the heavier
more traditional type of motorcycle and they are unique because their competitors focus on other types of motorcycles. Harley–Davidson considers
themselves as selling a lifestyle, rather than a form of transportation (Harley–Davidson, 2014). They support a variety of social groups and clubs in
order to create that lifestyle. Also, by focusing on an unique product, they are able to attract employees and consumers that support that lifestyle and
appeal to each other. This helps them build loyalty amongst employees and customers.
They currently focus on three main core competencies in order to guarantee success and gain a competitive advantage (Harley–Davidson, 2012). The
first competency is gained through human resources and capital. It is important to Harley–Davidson that they only hire employees who are passionate
about their products, that have the proper training and expertise to work on their products, and that fit with their company culture. Harley–Davidson
gains a competitive advantage due to these factors because they can trust their employees with showing off their products in the best light and working
hard for the company. Also, it allows

As of now, the organized part accounts for around 6.5% of the Indian retail market. Though, it is expected to maintain a faster growth rate in the
coming years with an estimation of touching 13% by the end of 2013. Over the last few years Indian retail has witnessed rapid transformation in
many areas of the business by setting scalable and profitable retail models across categories. Indian consumers are rapidly evolving and accepting
modern retail formats. New and indigenized formats such as departmental stores, hypermarkets, supermarkets, specialty and convenience stores, and
malls, multiplexes and fun zones are fast dotting the retail landscape. The Organized Retail share has been gaining strength owing to the robust
economy that has given more disposable income in the hand of the consumer. This has led to increased demand of products/services and a better
shopping environment. Over the long term (5 years), it is expected to grow at a CAGR close to 19 percent from Rs 852 billion to Rs 2024 billion in
2012–13 as per CRISIL research report. The organized retail penetration as a result is expected to move upwards from 5.5 percent to 7.3 percent in

Actress Sara Rue, from the television show Less Than Perfect, was quoted as saying, "Peace is definitely possible, but it is done step–by–step. Save
the Children is doing wonderful work, and that is where we need to start: with our children" (Rue). Image Management: This organization has an image
and reputation to protect. The Save the Children organization is in the business of keeping up a good image of helping children all over the world.
Now this organization is helping children in the United States. Save the Children launched a multi–media public service announcement campaign,
featuring Academy Award
–winning actress Sally Field and the song "Imagine" by the late John Lennon, to call attention to the agency's efforts to
aid thousands of Gulf Coast children forced from their homes by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita (Save). In an increasingly disintermediated information
world, keeping a decent corporate reputation is more challenging than ever. The speed knowledge of spreads and our greater access to a wider media
means "big bad news" easily gets to your phone in the space of your homeward journey (Grossman). Even though this is a nonprofit organization, it is
run like a corporation. Just like a corporation, this organization has to keep up its image. Image management and finical performance have been closely
related. Reputation is conceptualized by means of a two–dimensional

The Spread Of Viral Hepatitis
Countries all over the world suffer from some type of major health issue. In particular, viral hepatitis is a disease that is not only spread globally, but is
more rampant in underdeveloped countries. In these countries, access to proper health care to treat and prevent this disease is limited. Without proper
treatment, viral hepatitis can cause permanent bodily damages and have an impact on mortality rates. This paper will discuss the spread of viral
hepatitis in Africa, social factors of the disease, economic factors of the disease, U.S. global health policies and initiatives to help battle the spread of
the disease, and additional resources allocated to help Africa fight against viral hepatitis.
Social Factors Viral hepatitis is a disease that has significant effects in countries all over the world. In more developed countries, such as the United
States (U.S.), a low percentage of people – 2% – are infected with either Hepatitis A or E. This is because those types of hepatitis are spread through
infected food or water consumption and since the U.S. follows regulations through the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the chance of
contracting Hepatitis A or E is low. However, in underdeveloped regions such as in Africa, the percentage of those susceptible to those forms of
hepatitis are higher, especially in pregnant woman. The mortality rate for infected women is 15% to 25% (Wilson, 2009). Hepatitis B (HBC) and
Hepatitis C (HCV), which are transmitted through

  • 1. Coachella Research Paper NEXT UP Fair trade and sustainability for dummies Coachella is problematic now and has been for a while Robyn De Leon, Social Justice Editor 20 hrs ago 0 Coachella via Alan Paone Facebook Twitter Email Print Save Everyone and their mothers were out partying it up at Coachella this past weekend, and it truly looked like a lot of fun! BeyoncГ© gave an inspiring two–hour performance that shook everyone and their mothers to their core. Instagram was flooded with awesome "fits" and "dos." LMU students and many of my personal friends also went, coming back with exciting stories and memories to tell. While this isn't the fault of the festival itself necessarily but the fault of the attendees, it is a vibe that the festival indirectly promotes. Many people go dressed in Native American attire, wearing headdresses, feathers or war paint –which all have sacred meanings in Native American culture. Bindis are also a hot accessory among the attendees, but they are worn by South Asian women and are supposed to represent the third eye, a sacred site of wisdom and spiritual development, according to Teen Vogue. Paloma Jacome Bramkamp, a freshman entrepreneurship major, sheds light on this issue. "Coachella is a space that allows cultural appropriation, which is something that is really promoted in the festival's vibe. Health Policy And Impact On Vulnerable Populations Health Policy and Impact on Vulnerable Populations Tram Nguyen Arizona State University Health Policy and Impact on Vulnerable Populations (Title) Pneumonia is a form of acute respiratory infection which is caused by a bacterium called Streptococcus pneumoniae. Pneumonia is transmitted via air–borne droplets from coughing and sneezing, and it may also spread through blood. In 2015, pneumonia killed 15 percent of all deaths in children under the age of five, becoming the leading cause of death in children all over the world (World Health Organization[WHO], 2015a). Many efforts were made to reduce the prevalence of pneumonia, including the free vaccination program in 2011 against pneumonia in Kenya, which is supported by WHO and GAVI Alliance (WHO, 2015b). However, in 2012, Kenya was still ranked among the 15 countries with the highest number of deaths cause by pneumonia, suggesting problems with current policies (Onyango, Kikuvi, Amukoye, & Omolo, 2012). This paper will evaluate these existing policies and discuss potential solutions to overcome the epidemic of pneumonia in Kenya. Population and Geographic Area Located in Eastern Africa, Kenya lies across the equator in central Africa. Kenya is surrounded by Somalia to the east, Ethiopia to the north, Tanzania to the south, Uganda to the west, and Sudan to the northwest. Kenya has a young population of 45,925,301 people with 5.3 percent of the adult population living with HIV/AIDS in 2014. English and Kiswahili ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To maintain international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective collective measures for the prevention and removal of threats to the peace, and for the suppression of acts of aggression or other breaches of the peace, and to bring about by peaceful means, and in conformity with the principles of justice and internal law, adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations which might lead to a breach of the peace; 2. To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self determination of peoples, and to take other appropriate measures to strengthen universal peace; 3. To achieve international cooperation in solving internal problems of an economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian character and in promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and for fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to race, sex, language, or religion (Charter, 1). • 5. The Pros And Cons Of The Holocaust In 1933 and 1934 Hitler contrivance a policy that devastated Jewish families throughout Europe. Before the beginning of World War II, Adolf Hitler attained control of the German government and the German people through his rhetorically powerful speeches and propaganda, and the people followed his lead. In Hitler's propaganda, which supported his racial and political ideologies, he felt a need to eliminate the Jewish community, because of inherent belief that Jews caused the fall of the German economy during the Great Depression. However, the policies of extermination that Hitler expanded in World War II concentration camps, specifically during 1942–1944, exemplify a stronger Jewish hatred than merely economics. Hitler believed that Jews were "culture destroyers", and needed to be eliminated before they destroyed the German nation. Hitler's ideologies are clear, but what was less clear were the U.S. populace. To interrogate U.S. reactions to what would become known as the Holocaust, this paper examines two newspaper publications. The US news article "U.S. Help for Jews Asked by Alfange: He Says We, Allies and Neutrals"attempted to create U.S. reactions supporting the assistance of Jews, while recognizing the continuing Jewish support Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt. In contrast, the news article, "Group Plans to Aid Jews In Nazi Fight" by Murphy Chairman, only expressed organizing a committee to create a plan to help eastern European Jews, but failed to push U.S. reactions ... From war torn Europe, the United Nations developed from five major powers with an initial goal to prevent the spread of warfare through peaceful means and to establish and maintain fundamental human rights. Through the past fifty years, this organization has broadened its horizons with auxiliary organizations from peace keeping missions to humanitarian aid, to economic development. Although this organization did little to prevent the Second World War in 1939, it did pave the way for humanitarian aid efforts to refugees and helped to resolve a number of border disputes before the war. • 9. Corporate Strategy for Non-Profit Organisations 1.Introduction and History The concept of strategy is as old as the history of wars itself. "The Art of War" the first comprehensive book on strategy was written about 500 BC. The roots of strategy are in competition. The word "strategic" derives from the Greek word "strategos," which means "a general set of manoeuvres carried out to overcome an enemy during combat" (Nutt & Backoff 1992, p. 56). However, corporate strategy gained the recognition of being a separate field of study around fifty years ago (Kay 2003). The most famous work on for–profit strategy is Porter's "Competitive Strategy". He defines strategy as: "developing a competitive strategy is developing a broad formula for how a business is going to compete, what its goals... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some authors hold the view that strategy concepts developed for the for–profit organisations cannot be applied at all to non–profit organisations due to the fundamental differences that exist between the natures of these two types of organisations (e.g. Newman and Wallender 1978). It is very likely that because of this thinking the non–profit strategy has received little attention of management researchers (Hatten 1982). By contrast other authors, believe that the differences in these two types of organisations do not mean that the strategy concepts developed for one cannot be applied to the other (e.g. Koteen 1989, Sheehan 1996, and Montanari and Bracker 1986). According to them the existence of differences, only require some adaptation of the strategy concepts before they can be applied to the non–profit sector. Even these changes are not required for some concepts. The most significant differences that inhibit the applicability of for–profit strategy theories to non–profit organisations are the following: Different measures of organisational effectiveness: Non–profit effectiveness is often defined in terms of the achievement of mission (e.g. increase in literacy rate, access to health/ water/ sanitation facilities, etc) (Sheehan 1996) while for–profit effectiveness often focuses on economic profit and/or shareholder value. Traffickers travelling down from Mongolia, North Korea to Southern Asia make stops in China. More often than not, China is a final destination for trafficked people. "Most women and girls are trafficked from North Korea, Vietnam, Russia, and Burma. This is because there is a higher population of women than men in these countries relative to the destined countries, like China. • 14. Bible Interpretation Paper : New International Version Essay Bible Interpretation Paper I examined Jeremiah 13:1–11in these three translations: New International Version (NIV), English Standard Version (ESV), and The Message (MSG); most of the perspectives will be coming from the NIV. The NIV calls this narrative 'A Linen Belt', the ESV called it 'The Ruined Loincloth', and the MSG called it 'People Who Do Only What They Want to Do'. The story starts out with God telling Jeremiah to buy a linen belt and not to let it touch water. Jeremiah bought the linen belt and tied it around his waist just as God told him to do. Then God said to him that he should take the belt to Perath (possibly the Euphrates) and hide it in a crevice amongst the rocks. Jeremiah obeyed God, went to Perath and hid the linen belt in a crevice between the rocks. Many days later God told him that he should go get the belt that he hid amongst the rocks and Jeremiah listened to God so he went back to Perath to retrieve the linen belt. Jeremiah retrieved the belt, but now has a belt that is ruined and useless. Then God said, "In the same way I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem. These wicked people, who refuse to listen to my words, who follow the stubbornness of their hearts and go after other gods to serve and worship them, will be like this belt–completely useless! For as a belt is bound around the waist, so I bound all the people of Israel and all the people of Judah to me, to be my people for my renown and praise and honor. But they ... What environmental forces have created challenges for Mattel as it continues expansion into global markets? Which markets have created opportunities? The biggest environment force affected Mattel recently has been legal and regulatory with the high levels of lead paint found in their die–cast toys in 2007. This issue created a voluntary recall from Mattel for over 2 million toys and created doubt in customers to the quality of their Mattel toys. Mattel responded by immediately implementing a check system to accept paint only from certified suppliers, tightened controls throughout the production process and testing every production run to ensure compliance. Mattel said that it is working in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and other regulatory agencies worldwide. • 34. Threat of New Entrants 1. Threat of Foreign Carriers – Many large foreign airlines are expanding their reach to new market segments that are likely to encroach on Virgin's market share. Emirates air, Cathay Pacific, and Qatar airlines have all been successful at stealing market share from their US competitors on domestic and international routes (Mayerowitz, 2008). 2. Low Cost and Regional Airline Startups – Companies like Jet Blue, Ryanair (European), and EasyJet (AirTran) are all LCC's that have potentially devastating effects on market share for larger more expensive airlines (The Economist, 2004). Bargaining Power of Suppliers 1. Fuel Companies – Fuel is one of the airline industry's largest variable costs (on average 40% of their budget). Aside from hedging or put and call options, which can backfire, airlines are at the mercy of fuel companies and have very little bargaining power (Hargreaves, 2012). 2. • 37. Philanthropy In Sports Professional sports in which athletes receive compensation for their athletic talent and abilities, is often only associated with the entertainment industry. One can watch a sporting event on TV or pay to go to the arena or stadium to watch the competition live. Outside of watching and participating in a sport, professional leagues are businesses, concerned about making a profit from their fan base. It is seldom that one would associate a professional athletic club with philanthropy. According to Webster's College Dictionary, the definition of philanthropy is an "altruistic concern for human beings especially as manifested by donations of money, property, or work to needy persons or to institutions advancing human welfare" (Webster's). In a business concerned with its bottom line, donating money for a humanitarian cause would seem like a seldom seem practice. The Barcelona Football Club, however, has proven throughout the years that giving back to the community is what helps them adhere to their team motto "mes que un club" or Catalan for "more than a club". Barcelona Football Club, located in Barcelona, Spain, according to Forbes is the eighth most valuable sports team in the world and the third most valuable soccer team. In 2012, the team earned about $602 million in revenues and a record $59 million in profits with player's salaries reaching $362 million (Fontevecchia). • 38. The Importance Of Maternal And Child Health Progress On A... Importance of Maternal and Child Health Progress on a Global Scale As one of the most significant and pressing priorities of the Unites States government concerning global health, child and maternal health is crucial and must be improved on an international level. Of all the Millennium Development Goals, goals four and five have shown the least amount of progress. The goals which aim to reduce child mortality and improve maternal health, respectively, have shown an embarrisingly minimal amount of progress for the obstrusively simple solutions that accompany the situation. It is essential to strengthen maternal and child health programs as it is a human rights issue as well as a health concern. Women around the world deserve to have improved access to high–quality services. (8) Policies regarding health as well as multisectoral policies are vital in this effort as they will help in establishing a healthy environment which will foster the proliferation and facilitation of interventions. Despite the clear issues that require urgent addressing such as the stagnant maternal death rate and high newborn mortality rates, other issues still require immediate attention as maternal and child health is an incredibly important topic among organizations that are focusing on global health. The reason this issue presents itself in urgency and is becoming a high priority does not solely rest in the severity of the case. The problems that surround maternal and child health are so easily ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 40. Speech on Marijuana Legalization A well–known issue, right now, in the USA is that of the legalization of marijuana. This controversial topic is on the minds of our entire country. Whether or not to legalize marijuana has been a nation wide debate for years. In this informative speech I will be discussing only facts and opinions. Opinions and facts will come from organizations such as The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, Marijuana Legalization Organization and the Drug Policy Alliance. Marijuana Legalization is an issue because there are so many individuals using the substance illegally. These individuals feel that Marijuana is not a harmful substance and can serve to profit states that legalize it. The biggest concern on everyone's mind is that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Because they are illegal, marijuana and other drugs are only available on the black market, and anyone who enters the drug market is likely to be exposed to more than one drug. The solution is simple: by legalizing and regulating marijuana sales, we will eliminate the connection to hard drugs." (MLO) They use Holland as an example. "In Holland, where politicians decided over 25 years ago to separate marijuana from the illicit drug market by permitting coffee shops all over the country to sell small amounts of marijuana to adults, individuals use marijuana and other drugs at rates less than half of their American counterparts." (norml.org) The argument is that, if marijuana were not illegal it would not be a problem. The DPA website states that the majority of the individuals that use marijuana never even use any other illicit drugs. This statement disproves that common misconception about marijuana being a gateway drug. Finally my sources argue that keeping marijuana illegal it is costing more than necessary. MLO claims that "Cost of keeping marijuana illegal = cost of active law enforcement + cost of prosecution (and defense!) of accused offenders + cost of incarceration of convicted offenders + hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenue that would be generated if drugs were legal and taxed + cost of foster care and social services for children of incarcerated offenders." • 41. Marketing Strategy Of Harley Davidson Part 1. Summarize current strategy. Harley–Davidson has primarily a focused differentiation strategy. It is important to the company that they focus on leisure riders and that their products are viewed as being unique from their competitors. Their scope is very narrow because they are only selling to riders that want the heavier more traditional type of motorcycle and they are unique because their competitors focus on other types of motorcycles. Harley–Davidson considers themselves as selling a lifestyle, rather than a form of transportation (Harley–Davidson, 2014). They support a variety of social groups and clubs in order to create that lifestyle. Also, by focusing on an unique product, they are able to attract employees and consumers that support that lifestyle and appeal to each other. This helps them build loyalty amongst employees and customers. They currently focus on three main core competencies in order to guarantee success and gain a competitive advantage (Harley–Davidson, 2012). The first competency is gained through human resources and capital. It is important to Harley–Davidson that they only hire employees who are passionate about their products, that have the proper training and expertise to work on their products, and that fit with their company culture. Harley–Davidson gains a competitive advantage due to these factors because they can trust their employees with showing off their products in the best light and working hard for the company. Though, it is expected to maintain a faster growth rate in the coming years with an estimation of touching 13% by the end of 2013. Over the last few years Indian retail has witnessed rapid transformation in many areas of the business by setting scalable and profitable retail models across categories. Indian consumers are rapidly evolving and accepting modern retail formats. New and indigenized formats such as departmental stores, hypermarkets, supermarkets, specialty and convenience stores, and malls, multiplexes and fun zones are fast dotting the retail landscape. The Organized Retail share has been gaining strength owing to the robust economy that has given more disposable income in the hand of the consumer. • 46. The Spread Of Viral Hepatitis Countries all over the world suffer from some type of major health issue. In particular, viral hepatitis is a disease that is not only spread globally, but is more rampant in underdeveloped countries. In these countries, access to proper health care to treat and prevent this disease is limited. Without proper treatment, viral hepatitis can cause permanent bodily damages and have an impact on mortality rates. This paper will discuss the spread of viral hepatitis in Africa, social factors of the disease, economic factors of the disease, U.S. global health policies and initiatives to help battle the spread of the disease, and additional resources allocated to help Africa fight against viral hepatitis. Social Factors Viral hepatitis is a disease that has significant effects in countries all over the world. In more developed countries, such as the United States (U.S.), a low percentage of people – 2% – are infected with either Hepatitis A or E. This is because those types of hepatitis are spread through infected food or water consumption and since the U.S. follows regulations through the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the chance of contracting Hepatitis A or E is low. However, in underdeveloped regions such as in Africa, the percentage of those susceptible to those forms of hepatitis are higher, especially in pregnant woman. The mortality rate for infected women is 15% to 25% (Wilson, 2009). Hepatitis B (HBC) and Hepatitis C (HCV), which are transmitted through ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
