America has always housed a preference for the negative freedoms and liberties. There's a proclivity for the government to be free of restraints and
intrusion from their pockets, property and personal life. Our first amendment is what grants and protects our rights to free speech, expression and press.
But what are the limits on the first amendments? How far does it protect hate speech, hate monuments? Not to my surprise, the United States since the

Confederacy, you would think that they won the Civil War on an honorable cause instead of the Union. In no way is there an expectation for America

example, does not allow any circulation Nazi or Neo–Nazi paraphernalia because Nazism is not something that needs to be commemorated or
celebrated. The Nazism that took place in Germany mirrors the Confederacy in America; these moments in time, symbols and martyrs for racism,

The true history behind this flag varies quite a bit from the collective memory of the flag that is used to support arguments in the debate. One of the
most important characteristics of the flag that has bee lost in its long history is the fact that the flag that many say represents the Confederacy and its
ties in southern history is not really a symbol of the Confederate States of America at all. The Confederate States of American went through three
different flags during the time of their existence. None of which were the flag that we know so well today, this flag instead was flown by General
Robert E. Lee as a battle flag of his Northern Virginian army unit. This was the only means in which this flag had any ties with the Confederacy,
other than being seen in the upper left hand corner of their second and third flag. Also, General Lee himself left the flag behind him after his side lost

The Confederate flags have been around with the US since the mid 1800s when the South split from the North. Slavery and Racism has been
poison to the citizens of America ever since and we've been trying to get rid of it for the longest of times. The statue of confederate soldiers have
been here for a while too. The flags radiate hatred all over the US while the statues truly represented white supremacy. Three reasons why the

and American Revolution. The Confederate States of America originally started out with 11 states in 1860 and on July 15, 1870 Georgia was the last

Later on, Arkansas, North Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee then seceded and joined the Confederacy. Georgia was the last to join the confederacy
on July 15, 1870, over five years after the war ended. Almost every Southerner in the 13 states has a rebel flag to represent their freedom. With the
rebel flag clutched in his hands, dressed in Confederate gray, a black man named Anthony Hervey, had devotion for this flag when he found that his
Great–Great uncle fought in the Confederacy during the time of the Civil War. With further research, Hervey found at least 100,000 blacks fought
with the Confederates. Hervey chose the site to place the flag where it once stood representing the South; he said. "The battle flag stands for
freedom and states ' rights." Born in Virginia, Robert E. Lee chose to fight with the south. He is known as one of the greatest generals in all
history because of his devotion to duty and honorable character. It is known as a flag for racism, but it is not meant to be racist at all. This flag
was originally created to be a battle flag for the southern states; it is the Confederate or Rebel flag. Most people say that if somebody owns a flag
like this, he/she is racist, but that is not true. It is a battle flag to represent freedom and proudly flown by Southerners because it is their heritage.
People believe it symbolizes racism because the Confederates had slaves, but most of them did not have slaves and the ones who did owned a lot.
