1. 1. BLACK SCREEN 1/2
An ambient sound of a city can be heard. A church bell
rings loudly and with foreboding.
2. EXT. EVENING – BRISTOL LANDSCAPE
We see a time-lapse of Bristol’s landscape it is dusk to
evening.
PAN UP TO:
Night’s sky.
PAN DOWN TO:
3. EXT. CITY CENTRE STREET- NIGHT 1/5 8:30
A young shifty looking man walks across a bridge in the
centre of Bristol this is TOM NASH he has black hair and
is aged between 17-20 he is wearing a long grey coat a
woolen jumper and black genes. He walks past Banksy
graffiti, old houses and shops and walks down some stairs
he is being followed. We see a silhouette of the man
that’s following him his name is MIKE ALEKSY.
TOM VOICE OVER
I used to be in a gang, you know how it
is, needed a bit of bread but those days
are gone.
CUT TO:
TOM eventually turns a corner and he ends up in a dark,
broken street that gives off the sense of danger.
TOM VOICE OVER
I fell out with my boss Uncle, his name
was. He wanted me to do this big job but I
was sick of that life.
MIKE can be seen in the distance behind TOM. Freeze frame
on TOM.
TOM VOICE OVER
That’s me I was brilliant at fixing locks,
if you can call it fixing.
2. Freeze frame finishes and TOM walks out of shot. MIKE walks
in shot some time later.
TOM VOICE OVER
That’s MIKE he’s a hard time member, we
were friends in the old days. Not anymore.
MIKE then grabs TOM and resells him around and puts him in
a head lock TOM shouts.
TOM
OI what you doin’?! It’s me!
He says from the headlock, MIKE lets go and stands
back looking sheepish.
TOM
You twat!
TOM walks towards MIKE and shoves him in revenge.
MIKE
Where ave you been, poof?
TOM
Around was’ it to you?
MIKE
Your always duck and diving, [shouts] You
can’t escape this!
TOM
I’ve been dealt a fucking shite hand
recently, I want out!
MIKE
This is the biggest job we’ve done, we
can’t do it without you! You haven’t got
the bollocks.

3. TOM
I don’t want to do this anymore! Don’t you
understand!?
MIKE
You never complained before
TOM
Well, that was then. [Starts to walk away]
I’ve had enough.
MIKE
I can’t let you do that Uncle wants to see
you!
TOM
Well, tell him [walks back to MIKE] to
shove it up his arse!
MIKE
I don’t want to use this.
TOM looks down to reveal MIKE has a knife pointed at him.
Freeze frame at knife point.
TOM VOICE OVER
That was when I had to think on my feet.
Freeze frame finishes and they jump into action.
TOM
You need a Vera Lynn mate!
MIKE
Shut it!
TOM
[Holds out his hand] Give me the knife or
this isn’t gonna end well.

4. MUSIC STARTS
TOM looks as if he is trying to calm MIKE down but makes a
grab for the knife it drops to the ground. They fight and
punch in time to the beats of the music this goes on for at
least 50 seconds. TOM makes a blow to MIKES face. MIKE is
temporarily out of action, which gives enough time for TOM
to pick up the knife. TOM stabs MIKE he looks stunned and
slides down the wall to the ground. TOM stands back and
wipes his face. He sits MIKE up against the wall and turns
his collar up; he takes the knife and puts it in his
pocket.
CUT TO:
TOM walks off into the darkness, gradually it fades away
and the words “UNCLE BERT” appear on screen letter by
letter.
