Among its many programs, the National MS
Society maintains the Bike MS initiative, a
nationwide fund-raising cycling series that
benefits the 2.3 million people globally who live
with MS.

3.  The National MS Society hosts more than
100 rides across the country, and at least 79
cents of every dollar donated is used to
support services, research, and programs
that help improve the lives of people who
have MS. With the money raised through
Bike MS, the National MS Society can
purchase walkers, provide transportation to
medical facilities, and cover living expenses
for patients and families impacted by the
disease.

4.  The Bike MS events attract a wide range of
participants, including National MS Society
supporters and people living with MS.
Participants can ride and engage in fund-
raising individually, or take on the challenge
with a team of friends or colleagues.
According to the National MS Society,
team involvement also helps participants
stay committed to a training schedule and
enhances the sense of camaraderie during
the event.
