Over 2 million people worldwide and 14,000 people in
our community are affected by multiple sclerosis (MS).
Come support those battling the disease at Walk MS
Toledo.
The walk takes place on Sunday, April 19.
Starts at 8 a.m.
2801 W. Bancroft St., Toledo, OH
1, 5, and 10 mile routes
Walk or Run the route
The walk starts at the University of Toledo’s Health Education building and goes through the
neighborhoods of Ottawa Hills. You can register to walk, but registration is not needed to
participate in the event.
“My girlfriend has MS and I know that showing my support for her, and other people with
multiple sclerosis, means a lot to her,” Chaz Whittaker said.
Proceeds raised at the event will benefit research and programs that support those who are
fighting the disease that affects their central nervous system.
“Living with MS is often a struggle, but it’s an amazing feeling when you get to see the support
from your family, friends, and the community,” Patti Sochacki, who is currently battling the MS
disease, said.
