1. Production roles
Creative product- the job of the creative product is to manage the production of radio
advertisement, jingles and radio shows .This person usually will do work as or alongside technical
officers .This will mean them operating the sound boards usually in the opposite room from the
people speaking with sound proofing this is so no unwanted sound gets picked up from the
microphone.
Copywriter- The main job of a copywriter is to make scripts for radio advertisement. Their job
requires them to make an interesting and enticing script that will keep audience attention and make
them want to buy they product .If not the advert will not work and would of paid the money to
produce it for nothing .they will need to know who watches what radio show at what time in order
to make the advert appeal to that audience .They will also help manage the voice over to make sure
that everything goes how they have scripted it.
Voiceover – The job of the voice over artist is too read the script that is provided by the copywriter
.This person is usually well trained in speaking fluently ,there voice will very clear and easy to
understand .They should also show emotion when they speak in order to keep the listener
interested .The voice over artist will probably take a series of audition like an actor to get the role as
the voice over .the voice over will be recoded separately then added to the rest of the advert later
.sometimes the person who is being he voiceover will be somebody famous with a recognisable
voice .
Sound engineer – the job o the sound engineer is too managing the work with the speak , music and
sound effects . This person will probably work in the recording studio and help during the voice
overs .In order to achieve this job they must have an understanding of how music works they must
also have some sort of exasperate with using the sound based equipment in order to create radio
advertisement.
