2. SLR Cameras
Initially to take the photos for the front
cover and the contents page of the
magazine I had to learn to use and use the
SLR Cameras. I used the focus and the zoom
in order to get a medium close up of a
person to use for the front cover which
applies to the codes and conventions of a
real life magazine. The strengths of using the
SLR Cameras is that they produce a high
quality picture which helps comply to the
codes and conventions of a magazine cover
and contents page but the weakness is if you
are new to using the cameras it can be hard
to get an understanding of what all the
different buttons do.
3. Photoshop
I used Photoshop to piece together my
front cover with all the codes and
conventions of a music magazine. I used
Photoshop to add all the text and layer it
over my image for all the different codes
and conventions such as my masthead, the
cover lines, the positioning statement and
the poof. The use of Photoshop was good
as it allowed me to edit and change the
magazine to my pleasing although it is hard
to get a hold of at first.
4. Use Of Blogs
Using the blogs helped me to keep all my work in
one place and helped me better analyse it. The
ensured all the work was completed and none
was lost as well as helping me see if I have made
mistakes as its easy to locate. It also ensured that I
did not lose work through a variety of ways as it
was safe on the internet.
