New Technology Pervasiveness Should be controlled
The new technology is spreading widely, and it may have dire
effects than people can imagine. Technology is the one aspect in
the world that has promoted industrialization and offered
development. However, technology has managed to inflict doom
on some people, states, and even nations. The spread of
technology may feel like a welcome aspect, but it is like the
spread of a viral infection which should be regulated before it
condemns people to their untimely end. Therefore, it is
imperative to put into consideration the fast-spreading
technology and the impacts it will have on the society.
The one aspect that technology has on people is the fact that it
is fast. This may seem like a good thing, but this supposed
efficiency means that people are unprepared for what it brings.
The amount of technology that people currently have can both
be harmful or helpful, but a further rise and spread would have
dire consequences. These aspects of technology are reliant on
how people are using it and for how much they use it on a daily
basis (Carnahan, 2013). Therefore, it is imperative to regulate
the new technology pervasiveness. It should not be stopped, but
it should be controlled.
On a different argument, there are claims that the advances in
technology will result in a world of singularity. This refers to a
world whereby technology will be so advanced, and the pace of
technological change will be so fast that human life will be
irreversibly transformed (Kurzwell, 2005). This argument is
based on the fact that there is not a single project that is given
to a single corporation or merely the government to reach the
aspect of singularity. However, small corporations and groups
are working on their projects that will pave the way to this
aspect of singularity. This may result in people playing the role
of God and manipulating their lives and genetics. The only
solution to this is to control how technology maneuvers its way
through the world and the rate at which it does.
Therefore, it is appropriate to argue that the future is not as
bright as people perceive it to be if the new technology
pervasiveness is not controlled. People do not have to look at
the future based on what might happen; they can relate to the
things that are currently transpiring. There are security issues
concerned with the internet, there is a lot of unnecessary FUD-
fear, doubt, and uncertainty often spread by industry vendors to
scare people into buying purportedly necessary protection from
them (Brewster, 2014). Therefore, no matter how decorative
technology may seem, it still requires regulations, and its rate
of spreading to the world should be limited or controlled.

  • 1. New Technology Pervasiveness Should be controlled The new technology is spreading widely, and it may have dire effects than people can imagine. Technology is the one aspect in the world that has promoted industrialization and offered development. However, technology has managed to inflict doom on some people, states, and even nations. The spread of technology may feel like a welcome aspect, but it is like the spread of a viral infection which should be regulated before it condemns people to their untimely end. Therefore, it is imperative to put into consideration the fast-spreading technology and the impacts it will have on the society. The one aspect that technology has on people is the fact that it is fast. This may seem like a good thing, but this supposed efficiency means that people are unprepared for what it brings. The amount of technology that people currently have can both be harmful or helpful, but a further rise and spread would have dire consequences. These aspects of technology are reliant on how people are using it and for how much they use it on a daily basis (Carnahan, 2013). Therefore, it is imperative to regulate the new technology pervasiveness. It should not be stopped, but it should be controlled. On a different argument, there are claims that the advances in technology will result in a world of singularity. This refers to a world whereby technology will be so advanced, and the pace of technological change will be so fast that human life will be irreversibly transformed (Kurzwell, 2005). This argument is based on the fact that there is not a single project that is given to a single corporation or merely the government to reach the aspect of singularity. However, small corporations and groups are working on their projects that will pave the way to this aspect of singularity. This may result in people playing the role of God and manipulating their lives and genetics. The only solution to this is to control how technology maneuvers its way through the world and the rate at which it does.
  • 2. Therefore, it is appropriate to argue that the future is not as bright as people perceive it to be if the new technology pervasiveness is not controlled. People do not have to look at the future based on what might happen; they can relate to the things that are currently transpiring. There are security issues concerned with the internet, there is a lot of unnecessary FUD- fear, doubt, and uncertainty often spread by industry vendors to scare people into buying purportedly necessary protection from them (Brewster, 2014). Therefore, no matter how decorative technology may seem, it still requires regulations, and its rate of spreading to the world should be limited or controlled.
