1. Focus Group Guidelines for Discussion
I’d like to remind us all that a focus group is NOT
• A debate
• A conflict‐resolution session
• A problem‐solving session
We are not here to solve any problems that may exist with
eLearning.
We ARE here to gather information from you that will guide us
in creating the RFP, in ensuring that it meets the needs of the
faculty and students, as much as we can.
We are not going to discuss eLearning Support or eLearning
Tools (the section request tool) or the Orion/eLearning
connection.
Today’s session is focused on the learning management system
itself – how you use it, what works, what doesn’t work, and
what you may need from whatever LMS we end up with.
We have some general areas that we want to discuss with you,
but we’ll go where we need to. I’ll keep us on track and on
time.
