Constructing a Magazine Front Cover- Short Task
Today you have a task to construct a magazine using the component parts
given to you. The idea of this task is to prove that you have an understanding
of placement when it comes to magazine design convention. In order to make
sure everything is in line and square, a good tip is to use the grid on
Photoshop. This task has been designed to help you bulk up your skills
development journal so it is a good idea to try out as many new techniques as
you can. You have this lesson to finish the task.

The Main Image(s) will be given to you.

Magazine Title: Popsplash. You may use any font you wish for the masthead
but try to keep it creative and relevant to the magazine. You may also wish to
add a strap line.

Lead Line: The Norboyz Exclusive! What really happened in ‘that’ video.

Coverlines: Frankie Cacozza ate my hamster!- One Fans Backstage Hell.

Lilly Allen- Why I Can’t Wait To Be Pop’s Granny

Taio Cruz Dishes The Dirt on Kesha

Banner: Plus; JLS! The Wanted! Take That! Bros! Beyonce! Aztec Camera &
More!

The magazine front cover must have a barcode, price and/or issue/ date.

Remember you are the designer and chief editor- This means you have creative
licence to add to or omit any of the parts as long as it makes design sense,
maintains a house style and is relevant to the magazine’ s content.
