The Minutes of the Safety committee published with all action points chased up. If these tasks have not been completed? Have interim actions been taken and
when is the task at hand likely to be completed?
The Root Cause Analysis – Inspections/Investigations -
Health check ups – Record of Operatives regular health checks and date of next visit
Near miss book – Analyse data; develop action plan and training for Accident Prevention (required weekly)
Accident book – Must be locked away after use, re data protection act
First aid kit – One per department & bum bags for each ‘first aid’ team member is ideal for multi-sites
Housekeeping – A schedule for cleaning program is best practice
SHE Observations Weekly Report – Action points requiring attention – Persons Responsible, Date completed
H&S assistance action plan – Is it up to date and achieving its objective?
PPE – Are you working within budge? What type of PPE is being over issued, by whom and why?
COSHH – Is everything stored in the correct location etc.*-- Have you carried out a risk assessment – do you have the data sheet from the manufacturer
Site Tour – Use Zone control site plan and mark areas of concern, action after tour all observations, including unsafe acts or omissions noted Environmental issues -
monitoring internal waste management system etc.
