1. Direct, Supervise, Plan, and Coordinate tasks to accomplish the proactive preventive maintenance, repair,
construction,and alteration of plant & property including: equipment; machinery; buildings and grounds; raw
material storage; electrical; HVAC; security; dust collection; fire alarm systems; lift trucks and vehicles; and
utilities.
Oversees maintenance activities to ensure that the plant can manufacture products at a cost lower than our
competitors.
Provide technical expertise and consultation.
Responsible for utilization of maintenance resources and contractors.
Ensure the highest reliability of the plant equipment through proper utilization of the Maintenance Management
System, technician expertise, and continued improvement of the plant’s preventive and predictive maintenance
programs.
Promote positive work culture between maintenance department and operations and quality.
Perform maintenance activities in a manner to ensure the health and safety of our employees, plant, our
neighbors,customers, and the environment in which we live.
Support process safety management programs within the plant, as needed.
Ensure that all utilities are supplied to the plant without interruption.
Promote teamwork, continuous improvement, and total productive maintenance throughout all levels of the
maintenance organization.
Prepare the work plan/schedule for the Maintenance.
Ensure all production utility equipment is properly maintained and readily available.
Responsible for major decisions on utility outages to avoid unsafe operations and equipment damage.
Initiates improvement projects, suggestsequipment enhancements,and promotes culture of high reliability.
Collaborate with production on capital projects.
Inspect production equipment, compressors/utility equipment to determine operating conditions and maintenance
needs.
Contribute to the preparation of annual maintenance, utility, and/orenvironmental budgets and support these
budgets effectively throughout the year.
Establish standards and policies for pollution control, installation, modification, quality control, testing,operating
procedure, inspection,and maintenance of equipment, according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
Responsible for ensuring facility compliance with environmental issues as they relate to manufacturing.
Provides all production and laboratory areas with necessary support on a consistent basis.
Promotes an effective safety and housekeeping program to ensure safe work conditions.
Cost effectively preserves Sylvin assets using world-class planning, leadership, and motivation of direct reports,
coworkers, outside contractors/consultants,and performing electrical and mechanical duties an individual.
Responsible for justification, selection, training, and performance management of personnel and/orcontractors.
Responsible for identifying maintenance work and executing work to reduce work order backlog.
Acts as a high functioning and collaborative member of the site Leadership team.
