1. Portraitphotography or portraiture: is photography of a person or
group of people that displays the expression, personality, and mood of the
subject. Like other types of portraiture, the focus of the photograph is usually
the person's face, although the entire body and the background or context
may be included.

Jimmy nelsons work is based around people from different areas of life from
different countries and using portraiture to show the persons personality and
mood in one photo. From the images you can usually guess the surrounding
temperatures of the person and which continent they come from. Some of the
portraits are close ups and some are mid shot but that’s generally all you need to
capture the moment.
2. Landscape photography: shows spaces within the world, sometimes
vast and unending, but other times microscopic. Landscape
photographs typically capture the presence of nature but can also focus on
man-made features or disturbances of landscapes.

adam burtons work is all about landscape and reacuring theme of nature. He has
photographed five of the seven continents and now specialises in the landscapes of the
UK, particularly Southwest England. From hes images you see mostly green and
brown and other earthy colours shows that he loves nature.
Surrealism definition:Surrealism aimed at expressing imaginative
dreams and visions free from conscious rational control. It looks at things you
can picture using your mind. Surreal images more often confuse viewers as
they’re non realistic so you have to use your head to understand it properly.

christopher j is a photograther whos work is based around surrealism. His
images mostly show men with surreal power. He puts a lot of effort in edditing
his pictures to profection so they look real but not real. Most of his images have
bad weather and are light grey.
