2. C Stewart becomes the main contact regarding tooling issues, Repairs , Rejects and incoming
Compile & maintain the Current mould list
Tooling status being available and in contact with internal departments and external suppliers.
Receive Information and data of drawings, manufacturer and order numbers. Allowing tracking
information & a guideline for finished product deadlines.
Carry out Quarterly checks on critical moulds such as Epas And Oechler maintaining the schedules.
Update and maintain the tooling repair procedure.
Ensure Mould repair log for incoming and outgoing tooling for repair is being followed as procedure
– Carry out training where required.
Manage the disposal of rejected tooling.
Have access on scheduling of product giving an insight how high a demand is for a particular
product, allowing correct number of moulds to be ordered and if a poor condition or repaired mould
must be used until a replacement is received.
Carry out mould store Audit on a monthly basis ensuring the system is being used and maintained
correctly.
Monitor Tooling damage/wear , investigating cause and apply prevention systems.
Maintain correspondence with tooling manufacturers E.G Hamacher & Alan Young Engineering
regarding tooling repair , new tooling manufacture, time scales and Quality.
3. •Include document hyper links to tooling release/reject and transfer notes
•With a possibility of hyperlinks to Technical drawings for individual moulds
4. •Damage level for moulds reduced
•Mould tracking and traceability greatly increased
•Collate mould repair type and frequency
•Regular Audits ensuring the mould store and repair log list is always current &
up to date.
•Mould information and status current and easily accessible
•Production informed on time scale for receiving new tooling and tooling
expected back from repairer.
