FEW BEST WAYS
OF USING CLASSEDGE
What is Tata ClassEdge?
Tata ClassEdge—an innovative and comprehensive educational solution from Tata Interactive
Systems (TIS)—is designed to help teachers deliver high quality instruction, with an effective
blend of classroom activities and interactive multimedia demonstrations.
Based on the Multiple Learning Experiences Model—an instructional framework developed by Tata
Interactive Systems—Tata ClassEdge aims to enhance students' social and thinking skills along
with ensuring a thorough understanding of the curriculum content.
FEW BEST WAYS
OF USING CLASSEDGE
Outcomes:- Every action has a outcome so we
should have the idea of outcome from our activities.
Teacher need to deliver this thought before starting
any lesson. Then students will be able to capture the
objectives, it also help them to fix a goal that what
they need to grab from any particular lesson.
Example:- why do we fall ill is a chapter from biology class 9. Before starting this lesson if
teachers would deliver the outcome or objectives, like this lesson will help us
to understand our body and its immunity system, those cells which make us
immune from disease, how this system works in our body. it actually creates a
goal among students where they need to reach which they need to understand.
FEW BEST WAYS
OF USING CLASSEDGE
 Startup Booster:-Teaching point is given into class edge, It can be imagined as a
parts of engine you just need to assemble it with your idea, go through with it. Teaching
strategy, Activities, plug points and media is there, with those resources make your own
learning Material first then, nourish it with interactive thoughts and then deliver it to
students.
FEW BEST WAYS
OF USING CLASSEDGE
 1) Explain & Show:- Teachers should explain the topic which he is teaching
now, present some activity regarding the topic, then show the related class edge media to the
students, because if teachers start with media then students would not be able to relate it
with the topic as it could be new topic for students.
 Example:-Teachers are teaching motion from class 9, now if he/she start with media then for
students who are studying motion chapter first, would be difficult to understand it or relate
with it.
 Now if teacher would start this chapter with practical examples from day to day life like
cycling, jogging and explain there relation with motion then it would be easily understandable.
FEW BEST WAYS
OF USING CLASSEDGE
 Information beyond boundary:- In between lecture or presentation or media,
teacher can discuss something which is related with the topic but not in the syllabus. It
increases the attention of students and built interest into the topic.
 Example:-For an example if any teacher is teaching a chapter from geography, Minerals and
energy resources & the teaching point is “classification and occurrences” then as a extra
information he/she can discus on “ History of mining in India with reference to Indus valley
civilization
 It is not actually related to the topic, but from this students will be able to understand the
relationship between mining and minerals.
FEW BEST WAYS
OF USING CLASSEDGE
 Practical Teaching:- It is very important for students, as it makes things real. How?
Lets understand…………..
 Example:- Teacher are teaching a topic “ Components of food” Here he/she can use a
chocolates or sweets, for demonstration of this topic. Which will provide a fair idea to the
students about the components by which it has been made.
 This is called real life examples it helps them to relate the things which they are using in
there day to day life with there teaching lessons. It clears the picture into there mind.
FEW BEST WAYS
OF USING CLASSEDGE
 Rules of Equality:- Class edge is the best medium for making mediocre students as
intelligent as others. Activities and quizzes are given in class edge after completing the
lesson, teachers can easily organize some activities or quizzes for students. It will help to
find out that how much knowledge they have acquired. Those students who is still facing
challenges to doing activities or quizzes would be marked as mediocre students.
They will gate separate attention from teachers to make the topic easy to understand.
This thing is given as extension in class edge.
FEW BEST WAYS
OF USING CLASSEDGE
 Take help:- For mediocre students we can take help from other students who have
understood the lesson well. Ask them to make those students comfortable on the topic they
are finding difficult to under stand with the help of class edge material and practical
examples.
• It would be very much useful for mediocre as well as quick learner students as both are
revising the lesson.
FEW BEST WAYS
OF USING CLASSEDGE
 Learning with fun:- For students teacher can use game age section for making the
study more interesting to them. It helps the teachers as well as students to make the lesson
more interesting.
FEW BEST WAYS
OF USING CLASSEDGE
• Interactive tools:- Teachers can easily plot the graphs or histograms ,through which
usage of ClassEdge have been more easy and better as it reduces teachers time. They don’t
need collect any tools or chart paper to demonstrate something to students.
