2. Female Character The clothing will show her
predicament and social class
which will ultimately portray
the chosen genre of my film
which is Social Realism.
In my film, the female character is
going to wear informal clothes such as
leggings and a top (similar to the
image)
I have chosen informal clothing for the
female character as I believe it
symbolises social realism starkly and
will therefore fit the mise en scene and
overall plot of the narrative.
3. Male Character
In my film, the male character is going to be
presented in a particular way which is a
youth who may cause trouble, inevitably
with his girlfriend also present in the film. I
believe the males costume which will consist
of a tracksuit/hoodie will help portray to the
audience of this characters nature and This chosen costume will help also
predicament which is violent and outlines represent social realism as it will link
his social class which is not working and immensely with real life and youths of the

hanging around on streets in means for
making money.
4. NOT WHAT THE CHARACTERS IN MY
FILM WILL BE WEARING...
In my film I will make sure that my characters do not wear
costumes such as shown in the picture as I believe
costumes ultimately outline a characters predicament and
overall lifestyle/social class. As my genre is Social Realism,
I believe that these costumes of formal wear will portray
to the audience a completely different view of social
realism which I believe isn't accurate, as social realism
films are usually linked with council flats and the reality of
poverty etc.
