2. Lyrics of Intro/Set3
‘The skin that you're in is all soft now
And your bones are dry as ice
What you sitting round here for and why is that
Cos everybody's pushing out babies now
In the mornings I was getting high with you
Well I thought I'd see you around but you're dead
now’
3. Song intro
The introduction
The song is faded in and as the song is
faded in, the clouds are moving slightly
being sped up. Also, as the clouds are quite
dark, they will be lighter with a slight pink
tinge on them to fit in with the mood of the
song. As the song is about loneliness, the sky
and clouds represent loneliness. As well as
this, towards the ending of the introduction,
the sea is there reversing as it fits with the
music video as again, the sea is a vast
place and it also has connotations of
loneliness so I thought I would use the sea in
this.
4. Lines one and two:
‘The skin that you’re in is all soft
now,
And your bones are dry as ice’
In this scene, the sea is reversing and we are
introduced to the main protagonist walking
along a promenade and into the arcades.
This really highlights the loneliness that the
music video is trying to portray.
5. Lines 3&4
‘What you sitting round
here for and why is that
Cos everybody's pushing
out babies now’
Primarily, in this shot, it is the main
protagonist walking into the arcades in a
medium shot. As the arcades are
normally busy places, full with families
and couples enjoying themselves. This is
juxtaposed against him being by himself
and walking through the arcades with
no one.
6. Line 5
‘In the mornings I was
getting high with you’
Instrumental
In this scene, there will be a close up of 2p
machines and the coins then with a different
shot, it will be a close up again accept this
time, the coins that have already been
pushed down, will hopefully be reversed so
the coins will go back on to the level where
all the toys are.
7. Line 6
‘Well I thought I'd see you around but
you're dead now’
This line is repeated until the end of the
song. So therefore all the shots of this
will be in this slide.
In the latter stages of the song, the camera will hopefully
be cutting from the loneliness of the sea to the medium
shots of the main protagonist walking down the
promenade and on the beach, mainly throwing stones
into the sea. As well as this, the video ends with him
stopping looking out into the distance and the camera
walking on. Mirroring the opening shot, there will be a
close up of the clouds going the other way.
