1. Temporary Import and Export In China
As per regulations of Chinese customs,it is allowed to import goods
for repairs and other approved purposes such as stage
performance,testing,experiments and demonstration without
payment of duty and V.A.T on condition that they are re-exported
within six months from the date of importation.
2. How to Temporary Import and Export goods in China?
There are 2 ways to import and export goods temporarily in China:
1) ATA Carnet
For imported goods from overseas countries,chinese customs only
accept ATA Carnet for “Exhibition and Fairs”.
2) Temporary Import and Export License
If your goods is not for “Exhibition and Fairs”,for example,they will
be use for stage performance,testing,experiments and
demonstration in China,you must obtain prior approval from

3. How long can your goods stay in China?
For temporary imported goods,it must be re-exported within six
months from the date of importation.if you need an extension time
after the expiry of the given period,you should present an extension
application 30 days prior to the expiry re-exported date which listed
in the Temporary Import and Export License
4. Security Deposit/Bank Guarantee
Chinese Customs request security deposit or bank Guarantee for
temporary imported goods.the security deposit will be refund to the
client’s bank account after re-exportation.
Usually the amount of security deposit or bank guarantee required
is:50 % of CIF Value of the Imported goods
