What have you learnt about technologies from the
process of constructing this product?

2. Adobe InDesign
● When it came to constructing my magazine pages
I had to use a software called Adobe InDesign.
When I started creating my pages I found using
the software difficult to use when testing it when
doing the preliminary task. It was hard to find
where everything was and what they did. After
completing the school magazine pages I got used
to using the software so when I got to actually
doing the music magazine I knew what I was
doing and overtime it was getting easier and easier
to use.

3. Photoshop
● When it came to adding images I had to edit them in Photoshop first
before putting them onto my pages. I had used Photoshop before
but I was not too confident with the tools that I had to use to edit.
● I removed the backgrounds of my pictures before adding them to
the magazine. Like with InDesign once I had used it a few times
during the preliminary task I was then more comfortable when
using it during the main task.
● I didn't really find the software confusing it was just I didn't really
know what all the tools did but once I found out I used them to their
full effect.

4. Blogger
● To keep track and to display the work that I have done I had to post
it on a website called Blogger. I had never used or heard of it before
taking media. Every time I had completed a piece of work I had to
post it on blogger so that I knew what I had to finish. I think that
Blogger is a good way of displaying work that you have done and it
is easy to navigate and use.

5. PowerPoint and Slideshare
● A way that I used to present my work was through PowerPoint
presentations. I am very familiar with this as I have used it
throughout my life when doing work. I find that using it is very
easy and I know what I am doing with it when using it. When using
PowerPoint to make a log post it had to be uploaded on Slideshare
which is a website. When I used it I found it a very easy to use and
was a very quick was of uploading my work to my blog

6. Prezi
● Another way that I found of presenting my work was with Prezi, it
is an online application that can be posted onto my blog. I had
never used or heard of Prezi before but I found that it very easy to
use and to get used to. I feel that it is a creative way to present my
work and I would use it for other blog posts.

7. Internet Explorer and a camera
● When constructing my pages I used the internet to do some research
on the genre of music which my magazine would specialize in. I
also used the internet to display my work on sites like Blogger and
Prezi.
● After I did research into music magazines I used Mr Jones' camera
to take pictures that I would use for my music magazine. When
using the camera I had to think a lot about the camera placement,
mise-en-scene and the type of lighting that I wanted.

8. ● After using all of the hardware and software I have come across
when creating my music magazine I have gain skills and knowledge
that will be useful in the future and fell comfortable when using the
new and old technology.
