3. Our ideas
• Whole video: all takes place in the same location: a dark room
(such as the drama studio)
• Use of coloured lights as the main basis of the video.
• shining on the main performer.
• Main performer lip syncing the song and dancing for the
whole video.
• Emphasis on editing, quick cuts and after effects/ colour
correcting.
• Camera panning around performer fluidly, use of a variety of
shots.
6. Burn It Down – By Daughter
• One of the songs we considered for our music videos is ‘Burn It Down’ by
Daughter.
• This song starts quite slow then quickens by the chorus, so this would
leave good transition between shots.
• Also the singer in the band has a very clear voice, therefore it would make
it easier for our main performer to lip sync the words, whereas with
quicker songs it will make it more difficult .
• We would want to play around with the colour grading as we could portray
a particular feeling to the audience.
• Location ideas include, Drama studio, Night time inside and outside,
strange locations.
• Overall I would want to reveal a strange/fun/young music video, which
could possibly present the struggles we face being young in an adult
world.
8. Our ideas
• Nostalgia by NAO is one of our top song choices for the music video.
• We can imagine having one main artist and perhaps 2 two back up
dancers.
• The video would feature lots of art, colour and creative concepts. The
different dance movements, settings and outfits will create a “weird”
vibe to the music video. Which will help to make it unique and stand out.
• The video would be quite heavily edited with lots quick cuts and editing
techniques that allow us to import colour onto certain parts of the
image. As well as slow motion effects.
• The style of video is performance.
• Location includes- Primmer, Drama studio, Night time, London and
perhaps use of the green screen.
• Camera shots would be varied, overall making the artist center of
attention.
