1. Evaluation
Question 6 - What have you learnt
about technologies from the process
of constructing this product?
2. Throughout this project I have used various
different technologies to help us achieve
different effects for our opening scene of our
film. I also used blogger document the journey
in that I took to plan and produce our final film.
To edit our final film we used Final Cut Pro 10
because it is a professional software that we
could use. We use the Nikon D3200 which is
able to record at 1080p at 24 frames per
second.
3. Blogger
At the beginning of this project we were told to
create a blog so we could upload all of our plans
and storyboards that have helped us be able to
produce our opening scene. Using blogger
meant that I was able to keep a record of
everything I have done to plan for our film.
Using blogger meant that I could keep
everything organized in one place so I can easily
update my posts and upload things when ever I
wanted.
4. Blogger can easily
import pictures.
You can add labels to each of the posts so you can
easily categorise my posts so my teachers can just
see my evaluation posts for example.
I was able to set a date
of when I wanted
something to be
uploaded
The clapper Icon
meant that I
could upload
YouTube Videos
to my blog for
analysis.
5. Nikon D3200
When filming our scenes we used the Nikon
D3200 which we were able to record on at
1080p. When filming we mainly used a scorpion
video grip when filming all of the bikes scenes
because Lewis was able to carry it whilst cycling.
Using this grip meant that we would be able to
get shots of us cycling in front and behind him
because we didn't have accesses to a car.
6. When we looked through the clips from the beach scene we
realized that some of the shots that we got were out of focus or
the clip would start to be in focus and then go our of focus. So
one thing that I have learnt from filming with a DSLR Camera is
to always use manual focus so we know that the shot will be in
focus instead of using auto-focus so when we move the camera
it has to adjust which is what happened in most of our clips
which happened to be out of focus.
These were two of the shots that are out of focus because we used auto focus.
So when Tom would walking towards the camera it would auto focus to him but
it would stutter so it would focus on the background as well which messed up the
clip. So we needed to use manual focus instead.
