During my studies from 2002 to 2003 I performed a scientific research about: The effects of coffee
wastewater (mucilage) when discharged to a river or body of water.
During this research I perform Dissolved Oxygen (DO) and pH test to different concentration of a river
water and coffee waste water for 5 days.
With this research I participate in Scientific Fair and won a 3th Place on the Science Fair, Mayagüez
Districtand 2nd Place onthe Science Fair,MayagüezRegiongiven by AIDIS (Spanish acronym), Sanitary
and Environmental Engineer Association.

calculationstoensure thatmeetthe designedspecifications. I verify the inside and outside slope using
an inclinometer to ensure that meet the specifications and recommendations. Use the rule and
Measure-Mark Road Wheel to determine the length of the principal pipeline and emergency spillway
pipe. Use the Trimble GPS to geo-reference the pond. Use the compass to determine the north to
establish the direction in the drawings of the site.
