Course Purpose
The purpose of this unit is to make the learner appreciate and apply some of the
important principles of management as propounded by classical and modern
thinkers in running of their organizations.
Course Objectives
The learners should be able to:
 Demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of the principles of
management.
 Be able to apply management practices to enterprises
 Appreciate the dynamics and applications of management practices in
ever changing economic, ecological and social conditions.
