Columbia University is accepting applications for the Fragile Families Summer Data Workshop from July 11-13, 2012. The workshop is designed to familiarize participants with data from the Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study, a national survey that follows unmarried parents and their children. July 11 – 13, 2012 Summer Data Workshop to be held July 11-13, 2012, at the Columbia
Columbia University University School of Social Work in New York City. The workshop is

Families and Child Wellbeing Study (FFCWS). The FFCWS is an ongoing
national survey, which follows a birth cohort of urban children and their
(mostly) unmarried parents, providing information about the predictors of
healthy child development, including parental capabilities, circumstances,
and relationships, as well as environmental and public policy factors.
The workshop is targeted toward young scholars from various biomedical
and social science disciplines, including advanced graduate students,
postdoctoral fellows, residents whose work involves secondary data
analysis, and junior faculty. Applicants must possess basic quantitative data
analysis skills. Ethnic minorities are particularly encouraged to apply. About
