3. How to Log into the College Network
• Press CTRL-ALT-DELETE on the keyboard.
• Username: cu+number e.g. cu123456.
• Your CU number is on your ID card.
• Password: date of birth, ddmmyy, e.g. 021282 (if
you were born on 2nd December 1982).
4. How to Change Your Password
• Press CTRL-ALT-DELETE on the keyboard.
• Select ‘Change Password’ from the options.

5. Password Hints
• Choose a password that you will
remember.
• If you forget your password you will need to visit
IT Network Services.
• Your tutors cannot change it!
• Choose a password that others will not guess.
• For extra security use a mixture of numbers,
letters and capitals, for example:

6. Saving Your Work (Overview)
• You can create and save documents using your
Office 365 account.
• Your OneDrive account is the most secure way
to save your work.
• It offers 1TB of storage space.
• You can use your account to work from
anywhere that has internet access.
• Work saved on the desktop can also be
uploaded
7. How to Log-in to Office 365
1) You can access OneDrive
from E-Bridge by clicking on
Email in the red bar and
selecting OneDrive.
Use the same log-in details as you
used to access the computer:
Username: cu+number e.g.
cu123456@redbridge.ac.uk.
Password: date of birth, ddmmyy,
e.g. 021282 (if you were born on
2nd December 1982).

Click on the ‘OneDrive’
button on the top right
hand side.
Click on ‘+new’ and select
the type of document that
you would like to work on.

of the software you need in
the search box.
10. Printing
• Most printing is done in black & white.
• Colour printing is available at certain locations
around the college including the Brook Centre.
• You are provided with 100 credits per term.
• Printing in Black & White will use one credit
per page.
• Printing in colour uses three credits per page.

• If you run out of credits and need to print your
work you will have to buy more.
• They can be purchased from the online store.
• The cost of the printing credits is as follows:

12. Overview of E-Bridge
• Every time you open Internet Explorer
E-Bridge will open as your home page.
• E-Bridge provides you with information about
your course and the college.
• There are a number of different services such
as the student email which are accessed
through E-Bridge.

• You can log-in to E-Bridge using the same
username and password you used to log-on to
the computer.

eBridge home page.
• Check this regularly to keep up-to-date with
the latest information.

Information related to your
course can be found by clicking
on the ‘My Home’ button. This
includes all the information for
your course and any messages
that you have received.
Information related to your
enrolment at the college can be
found by clicking on the
‘Student Intranet’ button. This
includes the forms that you may
need to help you with you
studies.

The Student Intranet contains documents and
information that you may need at the college.
Below are the main headings from the Student
Intranet.
17. Updating Your Details
• It is very important for you to inform the
college about any changes to your contact
details particularly your phone number.
• There is a ’Student Change of Contact Details
Form’ on the Student Intranet.
• You must log-on to before you can complete
this form.

link from the top menu (not the quick link).

19. Your Personal Profile
• You can also update certain parts of your
personal profile.
• After logging on to E-bridge you will see your
photograph in the top right hand corner of the
page.
• Click on the photograph to see your personal
profile.
20. Accessing Student Email
• The college provides every student with their
own email account to use for college work etc.
• You then log-on using your the following
username and password:
• Username: cu123456@redbridge.ac.uk
• Password: ddmmyy, e.g. 021282
• You should find it very familiar if you have
used Microsoft Outlook before.
21. Accessing Diagnostic Tests
• During the first few weeks of your course you
will need to complete both the literacy and
numeracy initial & diagnostic assessments.
• Once completed, the results will appear in
e-Tracker after a few days.
• These tests are important for you as they
ensure that you are studying a course at the
correct level.

• To access the tests click on ‘My Home’.

• You must log-in to access the tests.
23. Commitment to Study
(Health and Safety Form)
• You must complete the Commitment to Study
Form as part of the induction process.
• The form can be found by clicking on ‘My
Home’ on the menu bar.
• The form is at the bottom of
the menu.
24. Induction Checklist
• Have you completed the induction checklist?
• You must make sure that you complete this
fully during your first six weeks.
