Overview of the Information Session
4. Streamlined Timetable
• Only taught at the Burwood Campus
• If you opt to enrol in a streamlined timetable, you will study fixed units that will be taught at fixed
times and your classes will run across two weekdays only
• Classes are taught on campus, not online, and you must study 3 units in each of your first two
trimesters, then two units in your final trimester
• You can opt out at any time but must remain enrolled for the chosen trimester
• The streamlined timetable option is available in the Diploma of Business, Diploma of Commerce,
Diploma of Health Sciences and the Diploma of IT for students studying on campus at Burwood
• Complete your whole diploma with a streamlined timetable, on the same two fixed days each
trimester

• Your class timetable is available from the Deakin College Student Portal
• This will indicate your class time, teacher and room location
If your classroom number is LA2.105:
• LA refers to the building the classroom is in: “Building LA”
• 2 refers to the level of the building: “Level 2”
• 105 refers to the room number: “Room 105”

Take a screenshot of your timetable and save it
somewhere safe so that you can refer to it when
you need it.

• Commencing the week prior to your first classes. Orientation is the beginning of your journey at
Deakin.

Begin classes
Classes commence Monday 27 February
• We offer online or on-campus study
• International students must select on-campus study
• Domestic students will be able to select either online or on-campus
when enrolling
• Online study will consist of videos, activities, reading materials, lecture
and tutorial content, to be watched or read in your own time. A one-
hour live session per unit will be held each week with your teacher.

If using mobile, you will need to click on the 3 bars on the top left-hand side

Click ‘Edit’ complete/update the details and save.
You must complete all the tabs at the top of the screen.
• “Year of arrival in this country” under the Regulatory tab,
indicate the current year if you are yet to arrive
• “Mobile (cellphone) number” under the Contact Details tab,
please include country code (+61) and remove the 0 from the
start of your Australian mobile number, for example
+61401000111. If you do not have an Australian mobile number,
enter +61 followed by 9 digits, for example +61000000000
• “Permanent Home Address” under the Contact Details tab,enter
your long-standing home address, where you can be reached by
mail.
Once you have completed/updated information in all the tabs, save
and close the screen.
