Asynchronous video introductions using Voicethread
which will allow for video responses from classmates
and faculty.
Goal: Meet classmates, understand group
project, select topic

6. Discussion Forum
After reading, “Parallels between project
management and instructional design,” students will
write a one page summary and reflection of the
article.
Summary should include student’s interpretation of
the relationship between instructional design and
project management.
Students will then thoughtfully respond to at least
two of their classmates’ reflections.
7. Assignment
Students will develop an outline for a project management plan
(major headings and subheadings only) to create a web-based
instruction module for training personnel on Sexual
Harassment.
The module consists of four major instructional objectives: What
constitutes sexual harassment; Defining sexual harassment;
Understanding sexual harassment; and Preventing sexual
harassment.
Student will assume the role of a project manager working within
a training and performance department with one instructional
designer, one multimedia developer, and one developer. The
customer is the human resources department and the target
audience of the instruction are the employees of the organization.
The time constraint is six months to completion of the project.
This outline should be approximately one page in length.
