Decomposers play a very important role in ecosystems.
They decompose organic matter into inorganic matter
for producers to be reused. Thus, natural resources last
longer.
The primary decomposers are fungi and bacteria.
8. What would happen in the ecosystem
if people practice hunting?
If people practice hunting, killing animals prohibited by law, many
species would become extinct. If a species becomes extinct, the
animal that eats the extinct species would have to eat other species
or starve also.
If primary consumer dies, the secondary and tertiary consumers
would die. If secondary consumer dies, the other two types of
consumers would die. If a tertiary consumer species dies , one would
think that other species do not die, but that's not the case. If the
tertiary consumer species dies, secondary consumers would have no
predators to eat them. Their population would increase, which
means that there will be more secondary consumers to eat primary
consumers. As a result, primary consumers are eaten by the
secondary consumers become extinct and they would die too. So, if
