Genre
The genre is shown through the
very gruesome image of the man
covered with blood. The narrators
voice is also very deep, and it
makes the audience think. The use
of non diegetic sound through the
music creates a dark and a typical
horror setting.
Mood/Atmosphere
The atmosphere creates is one that
makes people nervous and quite
scared. The darkness with scary
music fuels the fear we have.
Furthermore the man is seen
covered in blood which again
creates a mood of chock and
abnormality for the audience.
Enigmas
The enigma is created just after
the dramatic paragraph has
ended due to the sound effects
with no visuals to help us
understand it. We then feel like
we need to know more about the
film to know what happens and
why.
Target Audience
From the title sequence we can
see that the target audience is
probably people who are horror
fanatics and like gore and blood.
The speaking at the start is quite
detailed and it looks scary so the
film isn't really for children.

4. Scream
Genre
The genre is shown through the
technical codes like the girls NVC
where she lookd nervous and
worried. The font of the writing is
also very horror looking as it looks
like it's written in blood. The mask
looks is a very stereotypical horror
one which creates a lot of fear.
Mood/Atmosphere
The mood created is one of fear for
the audience because of the very
dramatic voice and also because of
all the screaming and the
phonecalls scares the audience as
it's something realistic as well. The
fear in the people transfers to us
and the atmosphere is very scary.
Enigmas
Enigmas are created because we
only get snippets of the villain so
we want to know more about him.
We want to know what happens to
the girls. The phonecalls are very
scary and we want to see how he
can see them and what he will do
to them.
Target Audience
The target audience is horror
fanatics as seen from all the
screaming and the scary voice of
the villain which sends shivers
down our spines. The writing is
blood like and the mask is a typical
scary one that adults/teens might
like but not children.

Genre
The genre is shown through the
visuals like the constant flashing
and darkness that occurs and the
showing of the little snippets of the
demons show us that it is a movie
of a horror genre. The sounds from
the villain are also very scary and
are very demon like. It is a horror.
Mood/Atmosphere
The mood created is one of fear
among the audience through the
use of the demonic looking girl and
the screaming and screeching
noise which makes us nervous.
The atmosphere is a very dark one
and the villains look very dark and
scary too.
Enigmas
Enigmas are created by the use
of the visual writing which tells us
things but not fully so we want to
know more. Things like 'What
was contained will not be
released' makes us want to know
what the villain is and what it will
do to the people.
Target Audience
The target audience is definitely
adults/teens who love the horror
genre. There is a lot of jump
scares in the clip and the lighting
and the acting by the villains
really creates a scary atmosphere
that horror fanatics would love.
