2. Summary of Front cover
β’ On over 18 magazines, which is the kind of magazine I want to do,
normally have a dominant image and have sell lines around the
cover. It also has a masthead at the top and a subhead at the
bottom. The colours are usually grey and boring as they arenβt
important to the selling point as it is an grown up magazine. Child
magazines usually have bright colours and tons of sub images and
little text This is a great example
of what I want to do
for my front cover.
3. Summary of Contents Page
β’ Once again, there are two different styles of Contents page
depending on age. In kids magazines, The contents page was
littered with sub images and rarely have all article pages. It is also
very colourful to grab the audiences attention. In Grown up
magazines, it usually has all articles listed but not all the time. There
is one dominant image and less colours.
My contents page will
have a similar layout to
this.
4. Summary of DPS
β’ Once again, the dps can differ depending on age group. In kids
magazines, It covers topics like a stars dating life or the release of
the impending album. In grown up magazines, it covers darker
topics like rehab, drug addiction, alcoholism and failed marriages.
However, the two are similar are in the fact that they have a
dominant image on one page while there is more text on another
side. However, in kids magazines, it is presented in Q&A format but
grown ups magazines do not.
The content of this is
what I want to include
in my magazine. I like
the look of the
dominant image taking
one page while text
takes the other page
