4. Interactions with other systems
The digestive system breaks down food and takes in the calories and the
nutrients for the body while the excretory system gets rid of the left
over food and waste
The Musculoskeletal system interacts with the digestive system by
needing the nutrients and the right calories to function correctly and
keep the body healthy
5. Role in maintaining Homeostasis
The digestive system provides essential nutrients which
are vital to maintaining homeostasis

6. Diseases
Obesity- is caused when a person eats unnecessarily
large amounts of food
Annorexia- is caused when a person rarely eats or
throw up their food after eating it, and it distorts their
vision of themselves
Bulimia- is caused when a person goes through a
period of time when they do not eat and then
randomly eat very large amounts of food
Diabetes- is caused when a person eats too much sugar
therefore causes there blood sugar to go haywire

In order to maintain a healthy body you must eat right
and exercise which uses all of your body systems
