Since we didn't have time to discuss much about a
descriptive essay, here are some important elements:
1. Organization - Time (describing and event) or
Space (describing a place) (Page 88) or
Importance (describe importance of
characteristics) (Page 94)
2. Use interesting adjectives or descriptions (Page 87)
3. Prepositions of Place (Page 90)
4. Read the sample essays in Unit 4 to help you.

4. PEER EDITING
• Look at Sheet 7 on page 251.
• Exchange essays with a partner. Answer the
questions on Sheet 7.
• Return the essay to your partner.
• Will you make changes to your essay?
• Before you give it to me, look at the Final Draft
Checklist on page 103.

5. UNIT 5 COMPARISON ESSAY
• Same as a comparison paragraph but longer. 
• Remember Block VS Point-by-point
• Choose points of comparison. You can compare
two things but you have to choose which points you
are comparing.
