2. In these two screen shots of my film
and The Holiday the lighting is the
same in that it is high level lighting to
emphasise the good mood on screen
and the happiness between the two
characters. The location is also similar
in that it is a romantic location with
the trees and water in the
background, this romantic setting
Memory lane shows she relationship between the
characters and makes the romantic
genre clear. The characters costume is
also similar in these two screen shots
because the two characters are both
wearing neutral colours and are not
wearing vibrant clothing and both the
girls are wearing white which draws
the attention away from the costume
and onto the characters themselves.

3. These two screen shots are similar in
that both characters are using eye
contact with each other in a romantic
setting. The locations are different but
the location in Memory lane suits the
time period of 1960s because the
rocky background suits the old
setting. The costume is also the same
as the two men are wearing leather
The holiday jackets but both of the girls are
wearing lighter colours which draws
the attention to them which
highlights the target audience of teen
and adult girls. The lighting is also the
same because it is high level which
supports the happy mood on screen
and makes the audience happy to
watch it. If the shots were in low
lighting and the characters were still
looking at each other it could show an
Memory lane argument or confrontation on screen.

4. This screen shot of 27 dresses and
Memory lane are similar because of the
shot type and location. Both sets of
characters are sat in a restaurant on
dates and are happy, the lighting isn’t
extremely high level but it is not dark
enough to create a bad mood on
screen so it is still clear that both sets
27 dresses of characters are happy. Also both shot
types are mid shots showing the
characters body language towards each
other. The costume is also similar in
that both girls are wearing black and
both boys are wearing light colours, this
suggests that the boys were the main
characters in these scenes and the light
costume draws the attention to them
rather than the girls.

5. These two screen shots are similar
because of the shot type, location,
costume and lighting. The shot
type in both these screen shots is a
mid shot which shows the
characters body language towards
each other but the audience are
still able to see the setting. The
locations are similar as they are
both set in parks and have
Main in Manhattan
greenery in the background which
creates a calming atmosphere on
screen. The costume is the same in
that both boys are wearing darker
colours which are more masculine
and both women are wearing
white which are more feminine
colours which suit the target
audience of females and the
natural day lighting supports the
happy mood on screen.
