1. The Classroom in 2015
By: Bridget Cassidy
How I plan to incorporate the
Internet and Web 2.0 resources into
my classroom.
2. Web 2.0
• Web 2.0 is in my opinion the way teachers
incorporate learning, the Internet, Search
Engines, and other online resources into the
classroom.
• This includes digital fluency and
Cyberlearning.
• The Internet has numerous tools that can help
promote lessons within the classroom.
3. Cyberlearning
• Cyberlearning is the use of technologies within
education. This also has to do with the
networking of information.
• Cyberlearning is a new concept but one that must
be taken seriously because of the world wide use
of the Internet and other technologies.
• With all the advances within technology, the
classroom and educators must change and evolve
with it.
4. Education and Cyberlearning
• In my classroom I plan to incorporate the internet and
technology as much as possible to engage my students.
• One way I have learned to incorporate Web 2.0 strategies
and learning is the ability to stream videos and website
links into a BlackBoard forum.
• This is a great tool for learning on campus or distance
learning at home.
• Having the lessons organized with example videos and
website links will help to reinforce information learned in
the class and it will also provide a place for the student to
find information in a convenient and efficient manner.
5. Google Sites
• Every student and teacher is aware of Google and
the ability it has to search endless amount of
knowledge.
• Another way Google has helped within the
classroom setting is, Google Sites.
• Google Sites would be an ideal tool to use in the
21st century classroom because it is easy to
operate and it will help encourage Cyberlearning.
• Creating a classroom Google site would be a
great way to store information and encourage the
use of Internet in a more personal way.
6. Pinterest
• Pinterest has helped to transform the
educational community. It is a free online
resource that helps teachers and students to
share and research different lessons, activities,
and numerous other things.
• Using Pinetrest can help to stimulate new
concepts and ideas which is always benefical
in the classroom.
7. Technical Difficulties
• When using any type of technology there is the chance
of having technical difficulties or operational errors.
• One way to help avoid any technical problems is to
plan ahead and to practice streaming or uploading all
the lessons prior to doing it in the classroom.
• It is best to have hands on experience using all the
tools before trying to do so when students are present.
This way it will help to have all the operational errors
taken care prior to the lesson itself.
• But more than technical difficulties, sometimes having
the resources available to use within the classroom can
be a challenge.
