2. Where the controller or Deputy Controller or Assistant Controller to investigate
infringement have reasons to believe that:

Enter and search any premises
Search any person
Break open lock
Making note of inventory

3. The controller or any other person authorised by him may
call any information from any person natural or legal which
are useful for reaching any conclusion, whether a person has
contravened the IT Act.

4. The controller or any other person authorised by him may inspect, and if necessary,
take copies of any kind of books.
He may himself or any other person authorised by him, have access to any
computer system, equipment, data connected with system for purpose of searching
to obtain any info available. The person in charge is required to provide reasonable
assistance as necessary.
5. Controller should grant license to any person who makes an application
and follows the procedure under IT Act. Applicant can be individual,
company or govt. institution.
It is valid for the issued period. It can be renewed again before 45 days of
the expiry date and late fee should not be more than Rs. 500.

6. But, he cannot directly revoke the license but can be suspended which cannot be done for
more than 10 days unless reasonable opportunity is given to CA.
He can revoke license on following basis:
1. Contravention of the act
2. Failed observe standards given by Central Government
3. Failed to comply with terms and conditions
4. While making application for license or renewal, gives false or incorrect details
