3. When making a comment about another artist
work of art you should leave three specific details
of things that you like about their artwork. You
can use some of our art vocabulary including the
elements or principles of art such as; line, shape,
color, texture ,value, or space
• Remember that all comment must be
reviewed by the artist parents before
it it can be posted. If I receive any
complaints from parents you will be
in trouble with me, Mrs Lewis and
your classroom teacher. You will
also fail this assignment and receive
a poor grade for the quarter.
4. Examples of positive feedback
Good example Ok example Bad example
Will I really like the way
that you used all blues in
your artwork. I also like
how you used jagged
lines to make your letters
look like ice. I think that
you must have been going
for an ice or cross theme
for your graffiti art
because you used such
cool colors and Jackie
lines.
That looks
awesome! You did a
great job! You're a
great artist.
I don't really understand
why you made your
artwork like you did. I
think you could've done
a much better job if you
had done things
differently. Maybe if you
were a better artist you
would've made better
art. By the way I don't
like how much you talk
in class, it's annoying.
5. "I Wonder..." questions
You can also leave
one question for the
artist that is a
positive question
starting with the
words I wonder.
6. Examples of "I
Wonder..."
Good examples Bad example
I wonder why you chose
to do a mountain scene?
Have you been to the
mountains before?
Another example of an "I
wonder" question, could
be is "I wonder why you
chose to use bright warm
colors in your artwork?"
I wonder why you scribbled
so badly?
I wonder why you didn't
even try?
