17. Hvad skal der til ? Vision: Senior management knows the value of information, sees it as competitive differentiator, and exploits it to drive value and operational efficiency. Strategy: The IT organization puts in as much support as possible to make information management transparent to the users, with business-level data stewards playing active roles. EIM links to strategic initiatives, such as enterprise agility. Governance: EIM drives productivity, improves compliance and reduces risk. The monitoring and enforcement of information governance is automated throughout the enterprise. Incentives and disincentives are established and carried out. Organization: A formalized EIM program is adopted that includes roles and responsibilities within a defined strategy or program. Process: An EIM group is instituted. This group may be organized into a central, autonomous unit, or it may be operationalized following a matrix model. The EIM group actively coordinates all information management efforts, such as master data management, content management, business intelligence, product information management applications, customer data integration and so forth. Enabling Infrastructure: The five EIM technology functions are achieved: Integrated subject and domain areas Continuous and seamless information flows Metadata management and semantic reconciliation Data integration across the IT portfolio Unified and converged content Metrics: Metrics focus on external factors, such as sourcing, risk and margin. Data quality metrics determine the progress of ongoing data stewardship initiatives to improve transparency and responsiveness. Reuse metrics show positive gains from information sharing.
