1. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? (Screenshots will help to illustrate this) To make the artists overlap the masthead: Here the artists within the main image is behind the masthead. I wanted to make the artist overlap the masthead. However I wanted to keep the original background for the image. To do this I used the quick selection tool to out line the artists and make her body into a separate layer in photo shop. Once I had outline the body, I turned it into a separate layer. As I continued to complete my magazine I kept the layer of her body in front of the masthead with the original image background behind the masthead. To airbrush the artist: Here the artists skin is bare. I wanted to make her look very beautiful to replicate make up as very few artists would be seen on magazine covers without makeup or being airbrushed. Therefore I learnt that by using the eyedropper tool I could select almost the exact colour and shade of her skin in that place. I therefore used this and the airbrush tool to airbrush her face. The eyedropper tool Select the brush tool and then change to the airbrush soft round 50% flow tool.
2. From my work I had also learnt how to insert drop capitals, import an article from a word document, insert columns and change the spacing of paragraphs. The majority of the rest of the technology I learnt during the preliminary task. Drop capital: By clicking Paragraph formatting controls and changing, highlighting the first letter and spreading it across 3 lines. Columns: By clicking the paragraph formatting controls and then selecting 3 columns. Changing the spacing the paragraph: By clicking paragraph formatting controls and the justify all lines option. Inserting the article: By selecting file, place and placing the document into the page .
3. Other technologies that I have experimented with and used for my final blog. I have used or experimented with all of these programmes in the making, research and presentation of my magazine project.
