Who would be the audience
for your media product
The Target Audience
We thought that our target audience should be
teenagers and young adults from 12 to 25 because it
will be easier for my group to target our opening
sequence on an audience we are in ourselves. I think
the audience we are targeting are the most likely
people to watch a thriller opening sequence and be up
to date with the latest media products.
Similar Films
There are a couple of films which are similar to our
opening sequence for example, kidalthood and
adulthood. Those films show a stereotypical teenage
group in some societies today which have been effected
by poverty, this relates to our opening sequence with
the main character carrying knifes in his rucksack. The
films and the opening sequence connote that
Maslow’s Hierarchy
My media product helps to show the young generation
some of the problems in our society, that even if you
carry weapons doesn’t mean your protecting yourself.
It sends a message that teenagers shouldn’t carry
weapons which will enforce the Maslow’s Hierarchy
theory and my help for them to step up in the
Hierarchy.
