5. Sinyal Analog Sinyal Digital
Sinyal digital adalah rentetan
pulsa-pulsa yang terdiri atas dua
level tegangan diskret, yaitu satu
unyul level tinggi dan satu untuk
level rendah atau sebagai nilai
bener 1 atau 0
Berdasarkan Sinyal Yang Digunakan
Sinyal analog adalah sinyal
yang ditransmisikan secara
kontinu sebagai fungsi waktu
yang disebar melalui suatu
media, dengan amplitudo
yang bervariasi

Guided Media
(Media Kabel)
Unguided Media
(Media Nirkabel)
Unguided media adalah
sebuah media yang
mentransmisikan
gelombang
elekromagnetik tanpa
menggunakan kabel.
Untuk komunikasi data,
gelombang
elektromagnetik
digolongkan menjadi tiga
jenis, yaitu:
1. Gelombang radio
2. Gelombang mikro
3. Gelombang infra
merah.
Guided media (media
kabel) merupakan media
tranmisi yang dapat
mentransmisikan serta
memandu arah
gelombang kepada
penerima data. Media
transmisi data yang
berupa kabel ada 3 jenis
sebagai berikut.
1. Kabel Koaksial
2. Kabel 2 Kawat
3. Kabel Serat Optik
7. Berdasarkan Arah Transmisinya
Simplex
Simplex merupakan
komunikasi antara dua
piranti yang hanya dapat
dilakukan satu arah saja,
dari sumber / pengirim
ke tujuan / penerima.
Half-Duplex
Half-duplek merupakan
komunikasi antara dua
piranti yang dapat
dilakukan dua arah
dengan tidak
bersamaan, tetapi
bergantian.
Full-Duplex
Full-duplex merupakan
komunikasi antara dua
piranti yang dapat
dilakukan dua arah dan
serentak (bersamaan).
8. B. Penyimpanan
Data
01. Disket (Floppy Disk)
adalah sebuah perangkat penyimpanan
data yang terdiri atas sebuah medium
penyimpanan magnetis bulat yang tipis
dan lentur dan dilapisi lapisan plastik
berbentuk persegi atau persegi
panjang.
02. CD (Compact Disk)
merupakan salah satu piringan kompak
dari jenis piringan optik(optical disc)
yang merupakan media penyimpanan
data digital.
03. Hard Disk
adalah sebuah komputer perangkat
keras yang menyimpan data sekunder
dan berisi piringan magnetis. Hard disk
bersifat nonvolatile, artinya menyimpan
data meskipun tidak ada aliran listrik.

mentransmisikan data

Sentral Telepon (Switching Unit)
Sentral telepon merupakan sebuah
perangkat yang berfungsi untuk
melakukan proses pembangunan
hubungan antar pelanggan
MDF (Main Distribution Frame)
merupakan sebuah tempat terminasi
kabel yang menghubungkan kabel
saluran pelanggan dari sentral
telepon dan jaringan kabel yang
menuju ke terminal pelanggan
RK (Rumah Kabel)
merupakan sebuah perangkat cross
connect saluran pelanggan, hanya
saja ukurannya lebih kecil
IDF (Intermediate Distribution Frame)
merupakan sebuah perangkat cross
connect kabel saluran pelanggan,
dengan ukuran yang lebih kecil dari
MDF dan RK
TB (Terminal Box)
merupakan cross connect kabel
saluran pelanggan yang
menghubungkan antara kabel
saluran pelanggan di dalam rumah
dengan yang di luar rumah
Pesawat Telepon Pelanggan
merupakan sebuah perangkat yang
berfungsi sebagai transceiver (pengirim
dan penerima) sinyal suara
11. Cara Kerja Telepon
Seluler wireless
1. Suara dari pengirim
diterima atau ditangkap
oleh alat yang disebut
microphone
3. Sinyal atau
gelombang radio
akan di terima oleh
BTS dan sinyal
tersebut diteruskan
ke pusat
telekomunikas
2. Microphone
mengubah gelombang
suara menjadi sinyal
listrik (gelombang radio)
dan kemudian
dipancarkan oleh phone
cell ke BTS terdekat
5. Setelah sampai
kepada penerima, sinyal
atau gelombang radio
tersebut diubah lagi
menjadi gelombang
suara oleh alat yang
disebut speaker
4. Dari pusat
telekomunikasi, sinyal
diteruskan kepada BTS
terdekat kemudian
diteruskan ke si
penerima
